19th Michigan Infantry 1862-65 The Nineteenth Regiment was assigned to the Second Congressional District, to be recruited in the counties of Branch, St. Joseph, Cass, Berrien, Kalamazoo, Van Buren and Allegan. It's camp was at Dowagiac, with the Honorable Henry Gilbert as the commandant of the camp, who was charged with the organization of the regiment.

NAFT-80 forms: National Archives Search Obtain NATF 80 forms on-line. There are THREE important records kept at NARA: 1) Service Records, 2) Pension Records and 3) Medical Records. In specific cases the search might also include Court Martial Records. The form for these searches is the NAFT-80. You will need to send in a separate form for each type of Record. You will be charged a minimum of $10.00 if there are records, and nothing if there are no records.
