In the pre-War years at West Point the Napoleon Club was organized by the best and brightest students at the Point to discuss the life, impact, and military genius of the Emperor who shook the world only years earlier.  Contact with these officers prompted a number of volunteer officers in the federal army to consider forming such a secret society themselves during the war.  This is the Napoleon Club of the Cumberland Guard.

Meetings are now held at encampments, usually in the evening with cigars and libations.  It is said that official adult beverage of the Club being an alleged French drink called Nassau Royale.
