Our Colorado Home....

In the beginning - there were simple, white walls. Armed with brushes of the finest bristles, paints of the richest colors, and enough ideas to fill a small castle - the restless homeowner set forth on a journey to rid her home of the plain, white spanse of emptiness and void. And so - her story begins....

The Foyer Before...

Before we moved in, we had the interior of our home painted taupe - a grayish, mushroom color. My hope was that it would be a neutral color that would allow me time until I decided what my central color scheme would be. I hated it! The color felt too cold. No matter what I did, it was if the color just worked against me. So, nearly two years later (yes, TWO years!) - with paint samples in hand - I spattered the walls with a myriad of colors until I found the one that worked just right. Next, I chose a wallpaper for the small wall (currently shown behind the dropfront desk). The paper depicts a faux stone finish, and I knew it would be the perfect compliment for my new foyer. Soon after - on a Friday afternoon driving home in rush hour traffic - I was determined that by the end of the weekend, I would be enjoying my new foyer - and what would be the start of a whole new home!
