Front Door Sidelight...After!

The finsihed sidelight, although temporary, looks much better than the plain version. TO complete this project, I cut a diamond pattern from painter's tape and adhered it to the glass. I then sponged on latex glaze all over, and allowed to dry. It took two coats to get an even finish. Once the glaze had dried, I removed the diamond taped patterns. Using the pre-made faux lead strips, I surrounded the entire window, cut out appropriate pieces to "frame" each diamond, and added smaller strips to complete the look. The faux liquid leading was added at each intersection to further create the look of actual leaded glass.
