Crow’s-nest dragons are known for their habit of following ships around, and occasionally perching on the ship’s crow’s nest, to feed on the fish disturbed by their wake. They occasionally consent to becoming the companions of sailors or the familiars of wizards. They are loyal companions with an insatiable curiosity (and hunger, some say) and a tendency towards mischief. Sailors consider these dragonets to be a sign of good fortune, much like porpoises are.

Crow’s-nest dragons are 2’ long dragonets with pearlescent scales, pelican-like wings, and serpentine bodies. Their tails give them an additional 2’ in length. They have a much more smaller vocal range than their pseudodragon kin do, and are limited to chirps.

COMBAT
Breath Weapon (Su):
Once per day, a crow’s-nest dragon may breath out a cloud of mist that is in all ways identical to the spell fog cloud as cast by a 9th-level sorcerer. It obscures all vision, including darkvision, beyond 5’; any creature within 5’ has one-half concealment, and creatures further away than that have total concealment. The cloud lasts 90 minutes.

Telepathy (Su): Crow’s-nest dragons have a limited form of telepathy. They can transmit images (no sound or other sensation) to a single companion with 240 yards. Other than that, they are limited to empathic communication.
