To Little Time and Too Much To Do, AGAIN!

The last time I was going to update the Blowout was a Christmas. I thought after reviewing the site for tweeks that I really dropped the ball on the Cyber Biker Site thing. Well, here I am to do a little update.

First, let me say that I would rather write an article about someone else that has sent me a picture of their bike and what they have done to it than to write about something about myself. I want you Gearheads to send me stories and pictures. It doesn't matter if you think that your writing skills lack. I will make it readable and I'm no expert.

Next on the list is the International Chopper Club of the GEARHEAD's. This is an open club to anyone who rides a motorcycle and wants to be recognized by the other gearheads of the world. There are no clubhouse rules, rights of passage, or qualifications except for the fact that you ride a motorcycle. E-mail me if you want to know what to do to REPRESENT the club.

The riding season is here for some and has never went away for others. Most importantly watchout for the cage drivers man. They will do you in if they get the chance and say, "I didn't see him!" My co-worker was going to the office to do a little work on a Friday when the truck in front of him pulled to the side of the road. My boy went on around the truck to have a jerk pull out in front of him. Needless to say he acquired a dislocated shoulder and a crushed hand. OUCH! In our line of work you need all your mobility to work in your job. Man, it sucks having to dodge idiots on the road, but it can be a rush also. LOL.

I Have had numberous people stop at my house trying to buy the Magna off of me. I would probably trade it for another CB750 Chopper today if the opportunity arouse. Anyway, they come up here and want to bargain to buy a bike that I have not tried to sell. Yea, I have advertised it with an over inflated price a couple of years ago. No one really wants to pay for a motorcycle in good condition. You can sell a shitty Harley in a box to some cheese head wanting a name faster. I have come to the conclusion the Magna is my next chopper. Drag bars are going to be the first bolt on addition and hopefully extended forks will follow soon.

I do have to say something about that new Harley V-ROD. It rocks and is innovative for the HD Corp. I would have bought that bike in 1994 new . . . No, I would not. $17,000 for a stock motor is stupid. For that price I would go ahead and buy a REBEL from Confederate Motorcyles. Seriously, HD doesn't want to sell motorcyles. They want to sell that name Harley-Davidson. If you ride HD's that is cool with me. Just understand that I have better things to do with my money than buy a motocycle to expensive to get out of the garage more than twice a year because I'm afraid someone will scratch the original paint and drop the resell value of my bike. Harleys are good bikes if you buy an actual bike to ride, ex. 1200 sportster. Maybe my thinking is all wrong. Well, I know it is. It is not the motorcycles that are screwed up, it's the majority of people that ride them, "Get a real motorcycle." Harley has just learned how to capitalize on the stupid wannabe's, lets just take their money and let them feel like the rest of us. I am proud of them.

I must go now, but have to just say RIP to RENEGADE RAIDER. He passed away last year and will be missed. This article is dedicated to him.

Oh, buy the way, the new E-MAIL ADDRESS IS ONLY1REDBIRD2@yahoo.COM. Hell, I miss that chopper. See you all out there on the road.

Later gearheads, REDBIRD
