FREYAN SOCIETY

Frey is soon to be overpopulated, and the native life eradicated by the more vigorous Terrna life imported, unless large preserves are made on Skidbaldnir, Alfheim, Njord, and other locations. There are floating cities. Frey has a strong ecological consciousness, after the first generation or two there. There are raiders, porachers, isles of pirates, and even tyrants, in isolated alcoves. The language is a German-Danish hybrid, influenced by Fellowship loan words, mostly French.

Their goverment is known as the Ecological Resource Allocation Agency (ERAA); runs Frey, since land resources so meagre. The Sea Peoples, who are genetically altered to live in the sea, are pushing for more independence, since more resources are in the sea. Their elected leader is known as the Chief Chancellor. The C.C. is able to draw on memories of previous chancellors...simulated holograms with recordings of personalities of previous chancellors. In paractice, several families are politically astute and influential. Rather clannish society. Chancellory and Sea Peoples have to cope with the extremely high tides. Tidewater powers plants for electricity.
