MERLINIAN PHYSIOLOGY

The sentient race looked like dragonlike warm-blooded reptiles, and resembeld a chinese dragon...a lung...very much. The sentient race were mules, sterile products of two lesser,but still semi-intelligent races. The two lesser races were named Worshippers and Defiers, the combined hybrids were called Rulers. All are subspecies of each other, and the mental capability of the lesser races might be comparable to homo neanderthal compared to homo sapien. The Rulers died when an AIDS-like virus spread among the lesser races, making it much riskier to mate. What few Worshippers and Defiers WERE left after the disease ravaged much of their fellows, died fighting each other with the advanced weaponry left by the rulers. The Ganeshans knew the Merlinintes in their heyday, and regret their passing. Humans never knew them at all.
