~KATHCATHURIA, or THE BOOK OF THE CATHURIAN KINGS~

3. Lapherte, Medahn's daughter, succeeded him. Many were glad to be free of Medahn's iron hand, but Lapherte's love for her father was boundless. She organized a raiding party that struck at Setitays itself, and when she discovered her father had been killed, set fire to the main halls where the great families met. Punitive expeditions were sent to reclaim Honrar, but they were ambushed and killed every time the giants entered Honrar. Rather than go by land, then, the Emperor of the Titans decided a great fleet would sail around Cathrarho to take control of Andestep, the once-village that was rapidly becoming a city under the Cathurian dynasty. Lapherte and her people woke up one morning to see a great fleet of ships sailing towards shore, as far as the eye could see. Lapherte and her people hurriedly evacuated the city, setting fire to it as they went. Many of the ships of the giants were also caught up in the fire, which crippled the giants' fleet. The few that were left did not have enough manpower (giantpower?) for a sustained expedition into Honrar, and so they returned. However, Lapherte herself got caught in the flames and died, smoke inhalation slowing her down.
