Where am I?

surrounded by life
closing in from all sides
I sit here and wonder
why it is I cry

images of yesterdays
play upon my mind
visions of innocence
and a love so blind

years of memories
and days gone by
racing to the forefront
all I can do is sigh

you are gone for now
to another place
I know where you are, but
where am I?

In A Heartbeat...

In a heartbeat
the eyes can meet
the bonds can be formed
and two lives can become one

In a heartbeat
the future can be planned
the sun can shine down
and rainbows can be shared

In a heartbeat
the days can pass
the gardens can grow
and the love can be found there

In a heartbeat
the world can be changed
the once was can be gone
and they can never the same

In a heartbeat
the future can be stolen
the anger can be formed
and the oneness can be shattered

In a heartbeat
an eternity can be lived
a love can be shared
and tomorrows can turn so uncertain

Falling Leaves...

at times I feel
as if I am walking
in a deep forest
my path
not always clear
I am surrounded
by tall and magnificent trees
I find myself
walking this path
looking for
the easiest route
it is September now
and fall begins
the leaves of yesterday
begin to rain down
each fallen leaf
is a memory
that brings
both good and sad
I am walking in
a forest of memories
raining down on me
in this forest of my mind...

Beginning or End....?

Where are you running to
Why do you cry,
What are you hiding
so deep inside?

I see you sitting there
so far away,
you look for the night,
while hiding in the day...

What are you seeking
do you really know,
When you hide your feelings
Where do they go...?

Just look around you
my childish friend,
when you find what you're looking for
Will it be the beginning or the end...?

Searching For Peace

A child on a swing
in a deserted park
going back and forth in peace
way into the dark...

A drunk on the street
an empty bottle by his side
rocking back and forth in peace
until he died...

A bird on a limb
looking into the sky
flying back and forth in peace
something money can't buy...

A man roaming aimlessly
thinking people could be bought
searching back and forth for peace
couldn't find it, i cried...

Sunset...

on a mountain high
in a heart said I
this world I see
is calling for me...

a window sill
my heart stood still
a dove fly’s bye
why do I cry...

a flaming sun
in the western sky
a cloud on high
I hurt said I...

reflections of light
love so bright
my sunset comes
I long for the sky...

Miles Apart...

Spanning the miles
is a friendship
of which i hold
very dear

When the darkness comes
and night finds the
dragons knocking
at my door

I find myself
sitting here
wondering what
it is I am to do

Then with one click
I can find you
and bring you
to help me

You talk about
many things
and offer comfort
and love to all

But my friend
do you realize
it is your magic that
chases my dragons away

In the Garden of my mind...

The sun shines down on this august day,
to light up a heavenly garden in my mind...
An angels wing brushed me with song,
to remind me you were near...
Pixie dust and days gone by,
I remember this day with tears and joy...
For today is the day I started a new path,
with a golden glow in my heart...
A ribbon holds tight,
a heartstring in an angel harp...
Binding our love forever,
I remember you on this day...

The water is calm
And all is silent
I look around and
The tears begin

The leaves have all fallen
and the birds are gone
My heart is hurting
And nobody knows

The last of the snow
Begins to melt and
I think of you
As I sit here alone...

China Doll

You want me to be
your little china doll
a piece of furniture
that gathers no dust at all
but china is fragile
if you drop it
it will break
so just remember
I am not a china doll
and my will you cannot take…

Friends Forever…

It started off in an unusual way,
challenges we fought everyday.
Living together in a world of enemies,
friends forever you and me.
You and me just weren’t meant to be,
split apart unjustly.
They said we were trouble from the start,
but still we clung together for support.
Could it be that someday we,
could start all over without being fought.
Growing together for the future,
never to forget the other.
In times of need and in times of joy,
always together…friends forever.
Though they try to make us cry,
together we will always fly.
Forgetting everyone and their rules,
I guess it’s just me and you,
Friends forever…

The world goes
rushing by,
Where is my
