Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1958, graduated in Architecture at the Catholic University of Campinas, Brazil and at the School of Architecture of Grenoble, in France. Master of Sciences by the EAG, France, Doctor Degree at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Researcher at CRATerre, France, and Architect at several offices in Grenoble and Paris, from 1981 to 1990. Assistant-Professor at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, from 1990. Visiting Researcher at the Osaka Sangyo University, in Japan, during the year of 1994. Coordinator of GHab, research group on housing, since 1996.
