on tv or in movies, when the camera pans across a scene of new york, three out of four times you'll see at least part of central park. yeah, there's millions of parks in the city, but this place is huge. there's ballparks, statues, a few lakes and a zoo. in addition to the zoo, which has your standard lions, tigers and bears type stuff, there's also an autonomous PETTING zoo with with goats and sheep etc. it's hilarious to me, someone who's been around farms a bit growing up, to see inner city kids touch a goat and then run away in terror.

an underpass in the park.

when you're deep in the park, you can forget that you're in new york. but then you hear cars honking and it all comes back.
