I have created this site with the intention that it should be a lasting memorial to one of the greatest women to ever grace the silver screen. Whenever you watch a film with Marilyn in it you can not fail to notice how the film comes to life as soon as she comes on screen, she had a marvellous quality about her that kept you captivated. There has never been anyone before or since that has been able to hold an audience quite like Marilyn could. Sadly her life was cut short and there is no end of speculation as to how this happened, I will not attempt to explain her life and death as there are others far better qualified than myself. I do however strongly recommend the Donald Spoto biography on Marilyn as I feel it may well be as close to the truth as we are likely to come now. I hope you enjoy my site but more importantly remember Marilyn with fondness and affection. After recieving a lovely drawing of Marilyn by a person who is only know to me as "Lacey" I decided to start a new series of pages featuring drawings of Marilyn by visitors to my site. If you have any drawings of Marilyn done by yourself and would like to see them on this site please forward them to the email address further down the page. Any drawings used will of course be credited to the artist/sender.
It has been brought to my attention that some photographs used on this site were taken by the late Sam Shaw, the rights to these are the property of Shaw Photo Collection.
