Boot Comp is short for Boot Competition. Here at Del Rio TX-66, we hold friendly competition between flights in our corps. The winner is chosen based upon thier overall scores on uniform inspection, Drill, and homework scores. Once the winner is chosen they are awarded "The Boot". "The Boot" is an actual Air Force Issue Combat boot that belonged to Col. Hanson, who had it dipped in bronze and mounted on a plaque bearing the winning flight's name. This has been a tradition in TX-66 for a long time now, and will continue throughout its history.
