			The Sea is Calm Tonight

The sea is calm tonight
As I stood by her side;
The tide is full, the moon shrines in the cloudless sky,
Upon the straits, on the coast dimed the light;
I looked beside me
She's deep in her though,
Warm wind lifted a lock of her golden strand
I called her a beauty in my eyes.

I glanced at the moon itself
Full and beautiful in this wonderful night;
She turned to face me
A smile hangs on her face;
Sparkling light shone in her sky blue eyes
I could feel my heart melting under its light;
A perfect girl, nobly planned
To warm, to comfort, and to love,
And yet a spirit still and bright
With something of angelic light.

I love her to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of light,
Smiles, tears, and all my life
I shall my love her after time,
A love strong and memorable
Even death could not part love.
