It was another night when the Earth Royal Family decided to hold a ball for no apparent reason. Although the Three Starlights and Princess Helena did come to visit... "So how are you Prince Endymion?" asked a beautiful twenty year old woman with long brown hair, brown eyes and a pale complexion. She wore a green low cut dress that showed her pale back and shoulders. "Not bad, Helena," he said with one of his famous smiles while kissing her gloved hand. He wore a white tuxedo. "That's good." "Would you care to dance?" he asked her. "My pleasure." They danced one hour non-stop while a young girl with long blonde hair was watching the couple with sadness. She wore a sleeveless pink dress showing her shoulders. "Hey cheer up a little," said a man who sat beside Serenity on the lounge. She turned around to see a pair of piercing blue eyes. "Do I know you...?" "No, I don't think so. I'm Seiya Kou, one of the Three Starlights," he said standing up and taking a bow. He wore a black tuxedo. She stood up. "Good evening," she said and curtsying. "I'm Princess..." "I know who you are, Princess Serenity. People talk about you a lot in my galaxy and how beautiful you are...and what a beautiful sight you are." She blushed. "Care to dance?" "I'd love to," she said cheering up a little. They danced and occasionally side by side with Endymion and Helena. Serenity looked away from Endymion as she usually did since two days ago when Helena and the Starlights arrived. He had been spending more time with Helena than her, and it broke her heart. "I think I'll go have a walk now," said Serenity to Seiya. "I'll join you." "No. It's okay. I'll go by myself." "Okay then." She walked out of the ballroom and into the Royal Gardens. She walked up to where the ocean was clashing against the cliff face, and tears started to roll down her face as she thought about Mamoru. Someone walked behind her, and she thought it was Rei who usually talked to her. "Oh God," she sobbed, but didn't look behind her. "I miss him so much, Rei. He is exactly the same as I remember him. Endymion...my Mamo-chan. Looks the same, acts the same, and even flirts the same." She smiled a sad smile. "And to think..." she stopped as she turned around to see sad blue eyes look at her. It was Endymion. She gasped. "What are you doing here?" "I'm sorry...I was looking..." he stopped as she ran past him with tears flowing down from her eyes. *** She ran past the startled princesses through the ballroom. "I'll go see what's wrong with her," said Rei as she followed Serenity. Raye followed her to Serenity's bedroom and knocked on the door. "Go away!" cried Serenity. "It's me, Rei." She heard the door unlock. "Rei," Serenity said as she hugged her. "It's okay. Do you want to talk about it?" Serenity nodded. They sat on the bed together. "So what's up?" "Endymion knows about Mamo-chan." "What? How does he know?" "He heard me talking. I had my back to him, and I thought it was you." Rei sighed. "Usagi, you have to be careful..." "It wasn't my fault Rei. What should I do now?" "Just act like nothing happened, okay?" "What do you mean 'like nothing happened'? He might know who he was..." "No Usagi! You have to live without Mamoru. Just let him go, Usagi!" Serenity started crying again. "How can I do that?" Rei comforted her. "Just let him go." She then left out the door. "Let him go...?" Serenity whispered. ><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> The dinning room... Everyone was seated for breakfast early the next morning on a long dinning table. Malachite seated across Mina, Nephrite across Lita, Jadeite across Rei, Zoisite across Ami, Helena across Seiya, Taiki across Queen Serenity, Princess Serenity across Endymion and the Earth king and queen were seated on the ends. "There is a meeting," announced Queen Augusta. "We expect everyone to be on time in the meeting room at four this afternoon." While everyone was eating, they were talking to the person across them, except for Serenity and Endymion. Serenity was very tired because she wasn't able to go to sleep till early in the morning. "Where is Yaten?" Serenity asked Seiya, who was seated on the left side of Endymion. "Who knows. He doesn't tell us anything." He smiled. Serenity nodded. "So Endymion," said Helena who was wearing another revealing dress. "What are we going to do today?" Serenity's heart broke again. Endymion noticed how Serenity's face changed. "Erm...I might just have a rest..." "I'll join you." "No. I'm horse riding with Serenity." He smiled. Serenity stared at him. "Oh, okay, suit yourself." Helena was disappointed. Serenity couldn't stop staring at him. He just smirked. *** After breakfast, everyone had something to do except Serenity so she decided to go outside. She was walking on the pathways of the Royal Gardens. "Aren't you forgetting something Serenity?" She turned around and saw Endymion. "What?" "Our horse ride." He was wearing black boots, a light blue shirt and navy pants. "You're not serious are you?" She was wearing a satin white dress with straps. "Oh come on," he said. "It will be fun." <...like nothing happened> Raye voice was chanting in Serenity's mind. "Sure! Maybe it will be fun." She smiled. "Well lets get going!" ><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> The stables... "Oh their beautiful!" said Serenity running up to the two horses. "Which one's yours?" "The black one." "Of course! Every prince has a stallion." She giggled. He tied saddles on the back of his horse and the chestnut coloured one. "What's his name?" "Lex." "And the other one?" "Her name is Jesse." He finished tying on the saddles. "Do you need any help...?" She had already taken off her high heel shoes and sat on the horse, one leg on each side. He was surprised at how she was sitting. "You don't expect me to ride like a real princess do you?" She smiled. "Umm...of course not." "Okay. Giddy up Jesse!" She galloped toward the fields. "Hey wait for me!" Endymion rode toward Serenity, and caught up with her. 1 hour later... Endymion and Serenity were sitting down under a tree, just outside the Royal Gardens and the horses were tied to a nearby tree. "This time I beat you!" said Endymion, with a laugh. "Yeah well I didn't cheat!" "Hey! I didn't cheat!" "Did to." "Did not." "Did to." "Did not." "Did to, did to, did to!" She stuck her nose into the air. "I'm so sorry princess," he said mockingly. "I will never argue with you again. Do you forgive me?" She turned around and saw Endymion with puppy eyes, and giggled. "Of course I do silly," she said and pushed him playfully. He tried to hold on something, but caught Serenity's hand instead, and pulled her toward him as he fell on his back. She was on top of him as she blushed. He put his arms around her waist. "You look absolutely beautiful like that, you know?" he whispered. If it was possible, she blushed redder than before. She looked up at him and saw a confused expression on his face. Her heart was beating quite fast because he was so close to her. She closed her eyes as he closed his, and their lips neared each others... "There you two are!" shouted Malachite on his white horse from a distance. Serenity immediately opened her eyes and stood up away from him. "Hey you to love-birds get moving! There is meeting in five minutes." Serenity sat on her horse, just as Endymion stood up. Endymion heard Malachite's voice again, and for one flaming instant, hated his good friend. <><><><><>><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> The hallways of the palace... "That meeting was sooooo boring," said Lita. "That's nothing new," said Mina. "How about we have a little girl talk?" said Rei. "We haven't had one in a while." "Yeah, and we have to find out who Ami's lucky guy is," said Serenity. "What?" said Ami. "I do not have a 'lucky guy'." Everyone giggled. "Lets go to my room everyone," said Serenity. Everyone made their way into the guest room and found a beautiful silk lavender dress with straps, lying on the bed. "Looks like you have a secret admirer," said Mina. "There is a letter. Open it up," said Lita. Everyone looked at Serenity as she read the letter and blushed a little. "Who is it from?" "Who's the lucky guy?" "Why are you blushing?" "Quiet!" said Serenity. "Why don't we sit down." Everyone sat on the floor, cushions and pillows comforting them." "So?" asked everyone. "It's just from Endymion." "*Just* Endymion?" said Mina. "Well, he owned me one." "What? Did he borrow one of your dresses to wear? Come one Serenity, what is it with you two?" said Lita. "I'll read the letter then if you will stop bugging me! Okay, it reads: Dear Serenity, Here is a dress I promised. I hope it will fit you. Love, Endymion. "That is so romantic!" "He promised!" "*Love* Endymion! *Very* smooth!" Serenity sighed. ><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> General's lounge... Prince Endymion and his generals lounged on the sofas in the big high ceiling room. Everyone was laughing as Zoisite imitated Helena... "Oh Endymion I *lerve* you," said Zoisite in a girlish voice. "Oh stop that Zoisite," said Endymion. "Helena is quite nice once you get to know her." Zoisite sat down. "She is probably nice, but you have your eyes on someone else don't you?" He had a smirk playing on his face. "What do you mean?" "Don't act dumb, Endymion," said Jadeite. "The way you look at Serenity the whole Kingdom thinks you’re in love with her." "Serenity?! What made you think about her? I hardly even know her!" "Very funny Endymion," said Malachite. "I saw what you to were doing this afternoon." "Nothing happened," he said firmly. He left the laughing generals to walk onto the balcony to find Nephrite gazing at the midnight sky. "What's all the laughing about?" asked Nephrite. "Nothing." "Really? I heard what they were saying. You have a bright new star in your life you know," he said gesturing to the sky. "What do you mean?" "The stars tell me your in love." He smiled. Endymion sighed. "Why the long sigh?" asked Nephrite. Endymion put his elbows on the railing of the balcony, and looked down. "I don't even know my own feelings." "Oh?" he asked curiously. "Yeah. The bright new star is probably Serenity." "*Probably* Serenity?" "See, that's the thing. I don't know my own feelings. Every time I'm around her, I feel...feel - I can't even explain it." "That is what you call love Endymion," said Nephrite, as he laid a hand on Endymion's shoulder. "Don't be afraid of it. I'm sure she loves you too." "But you don't understand! The girl in my dreams...she is the one I love." He was suddenly in deep thought. "That is only a dream, Endymion..." "Hold on...the girl in my dreams called me Mamo-chan, and yesterday...," said Endymion. "...she called me Mamo-chan," he whispered. "What? I didn't hear you," said Nephrite. "Oh my God! Why didn't I realise this earlier! Thank you so much Nephrite," he said, slapping his back, then running indoors. "Don't mention it," said a startled Nephrite. *** Endymion was running and running, to the east wing where Serenity's guest room was. He apologised to the people he bumped into. Knock! Knock. Endymion knocked on Serenity's door. "Who is it?" asked Serenity on the other side. "It's me, Endymion." He heard some excited exclamations and murmurs. She walked up to her door, and opened it. "Hello Endymion, come in." He stepped in to see the French doors open, and five girls sitting on cushions. "I'd like to speak in private," whispered Endymion to Serenity. She nodded. "Excuse me ladies, but could we have some privacy please." "Okay," said Mina. Everyone made their way outside. "Give us all the goss, okay?" said Lita. "Lita!" Serenity whispered between clenched teeth. She closed the door, and walked closer to Endymion. "Thank you for the dress..." "That's not what I came here about. You knew all along didn't you?" She looked at his face, and knew what he was talking about. "I... I don't know what you are talking about," she said as she folded some clothes and packed it into her suitcases. "Come on, Serenity. You knew all along about me before I had amnesia." "You had amnesia? I didn't know that." "Serenity, I love you, and I think I also loved you before I had amnesia." He took her hand, and looked into her watery eyes, which showed so much love and longing. She looked away from him. "That is absurd! You don't love me," she said with a fake smile. "You *think* you love me, but you don't. There are other ladies out there, you know." She hated herself for saying this, and never looked at him because there were silent tears rolling down her cheeks. "But you're the one for me! I'll regain my memory in time." She began packing her clothes less neatly, because something else was on her mind. "No Endymion! I don't have time!" she said as tears flowed from her eyes. "Do you know how painful it was seeing you with other girls, laughing, kissing, flirting!" she shouted. "This is not right! It won't be the same as before." "But I still love you!" "You don't *still* love me, you love me only now. You never loved me the first day I came here. Do you know how painful the three years was without seeing you!" she cried. "Please Serenity, don't cry," he said as he motioned toward her. "Don't Endymion. This is not right." "So you are only doing this to punish me?!" said Endymion. "No... - Oh I don't know, but this is *not* right!" she said as she packed more things into her suitcase. "Why are you packing?" "We are leaving in two days." "What? But..." "Please leave Endymion," she said not looking at him, and wiping away her tears. "But-" "Please leave!" "As you wish," he said, defeated. *** Later that evening, Queen Serenity visited her daughter, as she usually did at night. But this time, she visited her later than usual, and she didn't see Serenity's tears. "Mother?" said Serenity from her bed. "Yes, it is me." Queen Serenity walked to the bed, and sat down. "How have you been?" "Fine." She put on a fake smile. "I was wondering...could we leave tomorrow morning?" "Why do you want to do that?" she asked, startled at her daughter's question. "Oh...tomorrow is the first day of Winter on the Moon, and I don't want to miss it. You know how Winter is my favourite season." The queen thought about it for a moment. She did want her daughter to be happy. "I guess I have nothing more to do here...okay we can. But I won't have time to tell everyone tonight, so go tell the scouts, generals and Prince Endymion." "Prince Endymion?" she asked. "Yes, it is a big palace you know, and we should get things circling around now, before they go to bed." "Okay." She gulped. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> The general's lounge... The generals and Endymion were lounging on couches, just talking and having fun drinking ale. "Hey, if you drink any more of that stuff, you're going to have a terrible hangover tomorrow morning," said Malachite whilst snatching away Endymion's cup of ale. "So? (hiccup)" He snatched the glass away from Malachite. Knock, knock. Serenity knocked on the door. "Come in," said Malachite. "Princess Serenity!" said Nephrite, then standing up. Everyone did the same except Endymion. "Stand up Endymion!" said Malachite between clenched teeth. "Yeah, yeah." He tried getting up, but he was to drunk to do that. "Good evening Princess Serenity," said Jadeite. "Please sit down gentlemen." They sat down. "See!" said Endymion. "She told us to sit down, *again*." "She said *gentlemen* not drunk idiots!" said Zoisite. "Watch it Zoisite," said Endymion. "So what does the little princess have to tell (hiccup) us? (hiccup)" Serenity realised that her hands were sweating. "Um...I just wanted to tell you all that we are leaving first thing tomorrow morning." Everyone except Endymion was surprised. "Why?" asked Jadeite. "We...have some things to attend. Please let everyone know." Her eyes went to Endymion, who was sleeping on the couch. "If you will excuse me please." She turned and left out the door. *** Very late that night, Endymion saw dreams that he had never seen before. He saw happiness at the time of the Battle of Jupiter, then he saw a girl with bright blue eyes, and a funny hairstyle... <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> The next morning, all the lord, barons, nobles and the Royal family of Earth gathered at the launching pad to farewell the Moon Royal Family. Serenity tried to see Endymion, but he was not there. "Come back soon, okay?" Queen Augusta said to Queen Serenity, tears brimming in her eyes. "Of course we will." Queen Serenity said, then gave a hug. The generals were also teary eyed as they said their goodbyes to their loves. "All aboard!" said Captain Grendig. "Goodbye everyone!" said Queen Serenity. She boarded the vessel first. Everyone boarded the vessel one by one and Princess Serenity was the last one to board, but then she heard someone shout out, "Usagi!" She turned around and saw Endymion running toward her. He was trying to put a white shirt on, while he ran, and his hair was a mess. Serenity blushed a little. "Endymion!" said his father. "Be more presentable!" Endymion ignored him. Serenity turned around, ready to board. "No Usagi!" said Endymion. He laid a hand on her shoulder, and turned her around. He finally had put his shirt on, but hadn't done the buttons up. She then realised it was the first time Endymion used her nickname. "What is it Endymion?" He looked into her love filled eyes, and couldn't help staring at them. "What Endymion!" She looked away from him. "I know who I was at the Battle of Jupiter. I was Mamo-chan to you." "I told you that." "And you were Usagi." "You're making this up." "I'm not! I saw it in my dreams, and I can remember all the things at the Battle of Jupiter." "You can't remember things just from a dream Endymion," she whispered as she touched his face with her warm hand. "We can't do this." "All aboard? Come on Princess Serenity, your mother is waiting." "Endymion, what is the matter?" asked King Damian. "I have to go," said Serenity as she turned around. "Please Serenity, believe me. I saw everything in a dream," he said. "I love you, Usako," he whispered. She turned around. "What did you call me?" "Usako. I called you that as well..." He didn't get to finish his sentence because Serenity gave him a high speed bear hug. "Mamo-chan!" "I sure missed these hugs." He laughed. "Serenity what is taking you..." Queen Serenity stopped as she saw the couple kissing. "Serenity, you know people are watching you." Princess Serenity opened one eye, and quickly broke away from Endymion, and blushed a bright red. "Are you ready to board now, Serenity?" asked her mother. "No! No, I want to stay here, with Endymion." She put on a bright smile, and held Endymion's hand. "But yesterday you said..." "That was *yesterday* Mother. *Pleeeaase*" she begged. "Oh all right. But you have to give me an explanation, young lady." "Yay I get to stay!" She said to Endymion with a huge smile. She kissed him again, and cried happy tears, as their love was never forgotten. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Somewhere in time, a woman with long dark green hair watched a wedding take place, through a mirror. "Mission accomplished," she said with a smile. THE END Well how do you like it? Please e-mail me on roovel@aol.com If any one has any ideas for stories, please tell me.
