Well, after a long hiatus, I am back at my keyboard! It's true! I was hit
with some incredible inspiration, and in my History class, no less! This is
something I've never seen done, and the more I thought about it, the more I
really liked it! Anyway, I said I was hit with this in my Am. His. class,
and there is some significance to that. I was thinking about some of my
stories, instead of watching a video on the causes if the Civil War. Well, I
began watching the movie, as my thoughts were interrupted, and began to
think what kind of a person Serena/Usagi would be, if she  lived during the
civil war. (Yeah, I was fantasizing about fanfiction. I'm sure my boyfriend
would LOVE to hear that......) Anyway, I got to thinking about who she would
be, in key events during time. Then, I realized Serena had to have ancestors
on earth, since she WAS reborn on earth, and that's where this comes in.
This is going to be a LOOOOONG series, titled "Love Through Time: The Serena
and Darien Saga". Since I'm a romance writer, I just HAD to make it about
everyone's favorite dysfunctional anime couple! Yes, I realize I gave this
WAAAY too much thought, but hey, I was in HISTORY, I don't pay attention in
there anyway. :) Anyway, this is the prologue, and yes, I realize that I am
taking some liberties with the dialogue, but just call it poetic license,
OK? Anyway, without further adieu, here it is! Enjoy minna!

Life is only a series of events that occur while our hearts beat, and it was
going on before we were brought into this world, and will continue when we
leave it. No one knows how their life will affect that of those that come
after, nor do they know how their lives were affected by the ones who died
before them. All we know is that everything that happens is for a specific
reason, and that no matter what changes we make, that had been planned out
before we ever came. No matter how hard we try, we can't alter that. No
matter how much we want it, destiny will prevail, overcoming all odds,
jumping all hurdles. This is the story of one destiny so sure, it went
through time and space, and even more amazing, two stubborn hearts. Not
ending when one life expired, but living into the next. This is the story of
not overcoming fate, but succumbing  to it..........


Love Through Time: The Serena And Darien Saga 
Prologue

        "Oh God, I wish it didn't have to end like this." Queen Serenity sobbed,
her eyes barely seeing the empire she once ruled, in a ruin around her. She
didn't want to see everything she once loved, gone, within a few hours. She
didn't want to remember her loved ones falling, one by one, as evil
triumphed, as she had been so sure it wouldn't. She had such faith in
herself, in the scouts, in her daughter. She believed with every once of
herself that she could win, no matter what the odds. She had, but the cost
was one she never wanted to pay. With her, the only human survivor, along
side Luna and Artemis, her feline advisors. She could barely look at the
body of her own teenage daughter, her gown ripped beyond repair. And the
body of Endymion, her Serena's beloved, now burned beyond recognition. The
bodies of the five scouts were so mangled, she was afraid she'd vomit
uncontrollably if she had to look at them anymore. 
        "You're majesty....." Luna began. Oh, Serenity knew what she was about to
ask, but she stopped her. Without another word, she reached into her time
pocket, the one that used to be kept by Sailor Pluto, now was vacant. Pluto,
who had long since left to protect the future of time, had left it in Queen
Serenity's capable hands. She now pulled out her scepter, with the Silver
Crystal sitting regally perched inside the curve. 
        "You'll use the rest of your strength! You'll die!" Luna stated incredulously. 
        "If they are to live, I have to die! The fate of life as we know it, lies
in my hands. I can not be selfish about this, Luna. I must save them, before
it's no longer possible." She answered, with not a hint of the despair she
was racked with at that moment. "Besides, my life ended when they were
ripped from me. I have nothing left to live for. My life was with them. With
her." She let her only tear slip from it's hiding place, and fall to the
rubble on the ground. "I must. I MUST!" She whispered, to herself, more than
to anyone else. "I'll miss you, Serena. Please be careful, where ever you
go." Without another word, she pulled her tired arm up, raising the wand.
The crystal glared in the light of the Earth, and she spoke her last words:

"Cosmic Moon Power!"
