A great big THANKYOU to all of you kind enough to write me! *hugz* My appreciation also goes out to My two great sisters, Neo Queen Serenity and SailorTwin....your the best.... SM is not mine...blah blah blah How strong is your love? V By: Twilight editor: Sailor Twin Soon after Serena fell asleep, she felt herself falling, while pictures flashed through her mind. Pictures of the Silver Millennium and present time, the scouts, her as Princess Serenity and finally Darien. All of the sudden the pictures stopped just a abruptly as they began. Serena no longer felt like she was falling, now she sat outside a beautiful garden while the stars twinkled in the beautiful enormous sky. Then a sudden light caught her eye, in the distance sat a blue and green planet, Earth. 'I must be on the moon!' Serena then began to look around at her surroundings. The Palace was to her right glowing brilliantly from the lights, apparently there was a party taking place. A sudden noise to her left made her turn her head to see who was approaching. Seeing no one coming Serena turned her head around towards the palace once more only to be greeted with the friendly and loving eyes of her mother, Queen Serenity. "Mother! What are you doing here?" Serena's voice no higher than a whisper. " Oh my darling daughter! I will always be here for you! When you do or do not need help." Queen Serenity's eyes were so soothing and calm it made Serena cry. Queen Serenity just held her while slowly rocking her back and forth trying to calm her distraught daughter. "Let it out my dear, tell me everthing." Her voice sounded so sincere and loving it made Serena finally feel at peace with herself. "Oh Mother! I don't know what to do!...." She then went into detail of the whole story and how she felt. At times Serena was crying so hard she had trouble breathing, but her mother comforted and spoke words of reassurance. Once the whole story was out Queen Serenity sat there just thoughtful for a minute while still holding her daughter. She really didn't know what to tell her besides to follow her heart and be true to herself. "Oh Serena! I'm sorry he hurt you so! People make mistakes sweetheart and sometimes they learn and grow from them. Apparently he learned his lesson because has he asked for your forgiveness many times." Serena only weakly nodded her head listening to all her mother had to say. "You need to talk to him once you see him again. I know you may not be ready to love him again, but who says you have to start where you left off?......Think about that sweetie." Queen Serenity then stood and Serena followed suit. "I have to go now Serena....you're in my heart and I love you" She then turned to leave for the palace. Serena watched her back but before she was out of hearing range she said "I love you too mother, and thankyou!" Queen Serenity simply nodded and again headed back to her palace. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The morning sun shone through Serena's window while the birds chirped loudly. Serena's eyes fluttered open, and for the first time in a long time, she welcomed the sunlight. She pondered what her mother said and silently thanked her. A small snore made her look to the edge of her bed where Luna lay. Grinning she yanked the blankets from under the sleeping cat. Luna awoke with a thud and quickly bolted into a standing position, looking around frantically she found herself on the floor! She then heard soft giggling from the bed. Luna then jumped up on the bed to find a laughing Serena with her hand over her mouth and eyes squeezed shut! "Well I'm glad someone found this funny!" Luna sarcastically replied. "My, you're in a good mood. What's the occasion?" Serena was still laughing too hard to speak and Luna had to wait until she calmed down. "Sorry Luna, you should have seen your face! It was sooo funny! I don't know....I just feel a whole lot better. I talked to mother too" and with that Serena went to get ready for school. Luna watched her leave her room and couldn't do anything but smile. It was the first time in a year she had awoken in high spirits. 'wait a second, did she just say she talked to Queen Serenity?!' She then went in search of Serena only to find she had already left for school. 'Oh well, I'll talk to her when she gets home' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Serena hummed all the way to school her feet feeling light. She was thinking back to her dream and smiled. She and Darien had talked over the past year, but only over little things. They just had short conversations nothing like how they use to talk. Once she reached school she was greeted by the other scouts. They were sitting under a large oak tree chatting away. Smiling, Serena walked over there and greeted them enthusiastically. "HI guys! what are you talking about?" All the girls looked up to her, surprised at her perkiness but glad to see it. Soon they found themselves engrossed in small conversations until school began. To Serena's surprise (although it wasn't really a surprise) she was greeted with a single red rose and another small card on her desk. Happily she took her seat and read yet another simple but romantic card from Darien. All the girls were envious of her always getting something from the same guy and wished they could find a guy like that. Serena never noticed their sighs as she gently picked up the rose and smelled it. She had a far away look in her eyes, but one look at her and you could tell she was happy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ School was uneventful like every other day. As the girls walked out onto the freshly cut grass Lita suggested they to go to the temple for a little while and hang out. Serena had other plans though. "Oh I'm sorry Lita.....but I have something I need to do right now. Maybe later okay?" "Sure Serena! Another time then! bye!" With that she took off running towards the arcade. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 'Oh I hope he's at the arcade. How am I going to explain how I feel to him? Oh well I just hope I know when I see him' After she reached the arcade she glanced around to see if Darien was there. 'Nope not yet, I'll just play a few games till he comes' As she was playing she heard a familiar voice greet her. "Hi Serena! I haven't seen you in here for awhile. How have you been?" Serena turned around to him. "Hi Andrew! Yea, I've actually been taking school more seriously lately and studying. I've been good what about you?" They sat and talked for a couple minutes until Andrew had to go back to work. "Well it was good seeing you again Serena. You really need to come by more often! The arcade isn't the same without your laugh!" Serena simply smiled and nodded her head. Once he was gone she looked around to see if Darien had arrived yet. 'hmmm, not yet. I think I'll go for a walk now, but I'll go home to change.' Quickly she walked to her house and changed into a short gray skirt with a small pink sweater with gray shoes to match. It wasn't too cold outside so she shouldn't get chilly. Serena took her time going to the park just enjoying the atmosphere and watching the kids play. She couldn't stop smiling!! But soon her smile faded when she saw Darien sitting in 'their' spot. She began to grow nervous but finally made her way there. He was just sitting there looking over at the calm lake as it sparkled in the sunlight. Quietly she sat next to him, though he didn't budge from his spot or even look at her. Serena cleared her throat, which brought Darien out of his trance as he looked over to her. At first his eyes showed surprise but then happiness. "Hello Darien" "Hi Serena. What are you doing here?" She simply smiled and just looked out onto the lake. Finally after a few moments of silence she spoke again. "Actually I don't know. I just wanted to see you today." Dariens' heart lept out of his chest! 'she wanted to see me!' "and I've been thinking that maybe it's time we started to talk again. I mean really talk like we use to, not this small chit chat." she paused for a moment to glance at Darien who was staring at her wide eyed! "I don't know if I'm ready to except a relationship yet, but can we start over maybe?" Darien who had no idea what to say, could only stare at her. He tried to speak but found that he had no voice. Serena just giggled at him and said "I take that as a yes?" Once Darien found his voice he commented "YES! I mean of course Serena! I would love that." They just stared into each others eyes until Darien suggested they go for a walk. Serena quietly agreed and they began to walk around the park. They talked about what happened to them over the past year and caught up on each others lives blissfully chatting away. Sometime as they were talking they started to hold hands, fingers entwined with one another. Neither noticed or tried to let go. So use to each others touch that it didn't alert their senses. It was getting late and Darien walked Serena to her house, stopping outside of her gate. "I had fun today Darien." Darien smiled in return "So did I. I'm glad we talked" Neither wanted to let go but knew they had to. Slowly Serena reached up to give Darien a hug which he returned graciously, happy to be able to hold her again, even if it was only for a few seconds. Those few seconds felt like forever though. Ever so slowly they released each other and said their good-byes. Soon after they began to talk more and date. Darien would walk Serena to and from school each day. Things were progressing quite well with the two. Finally Serena felt she could trust Darien again and wanted to tell him on their next date. She didn't know where he was taking her, all he said was for her to dress up. It had been a year since they started to date again and Serena never felt more alive then she did now. She glanced at herself in the mirror one last time to make sure she looked all right. She was wearing a black velvet fitted dress that hugged her curves beautifully. There was a slit on her right side that went to mid thigh. Her dress was sleeveless but connected at the back with two straps which met up around her neck. The collar had gold swirls around it along with the top portion on her dress. Her hair was in a French twist and the top had curls coming out that fell nicely into place. She was a vision. Darien had proved himself to her time and time again that he was sorry. He never lied to her and if he ever had to miss a date he would tell her and send flowers or something for forgiveness. He wasn't going to let her slip away again. Darien was the perfect gentlemen and did everything Serena asked, which wasn't much. The doorbell brought her out of her thoughts and she quickly went to open the door. There stood Darien in a black tux. Serena quickly hugged Darien and gave him a small kiss on the lips. He then extended his arm where she slipped hers through. Once outside Darien complimented on how beautiful she looked! It only made Serena lower her head as a blush crept onto her checks. Darien escorted her to her side of the car and opened the door for her and found a small bear holding two roses in her seat. Carefully she picked it up and hugged the bear, Serena briefly noted it had Darien’s scent on it. She then turned to give Darien a kiss. Soon afterwards they began their drive. "Darien, where are you taking me?" came Serena's innocent reply. "Oh you'll see. You just have to wait until we get there." He then flashed her one of his heart melting smiles which once again caused her to blush. They sat in a comfortable silence while listening to some smooth music. A little into the ride Serena closed her eyes and fell asleep. "Were here Serena." Serena woke to find a beautiful restaurant with chandeliers, a band and dancing. It looked like a very expensive place. Darien then got out of the car and opened her door to let her out while offering his hand. Serena was awed by the view and restaurant. It was amazing! The host then showed them to their table. They sat there holding hands across from one another while staring into each others eyes. The waiter soon came and they ordered their food, never really taking their eyes from another. Then the band began to play a slow tune and Darien asked Serena if she would like to dance. Together they made their way to the dance floor while Darien walked behind her with his hand on her back guiding her. They began to sway to the music when Serena suddenly remembered what she wanted to tell him. She reluctantly lifted her head from his shoulder to stare into his eyes. They showed so much love and security that she never wanted to look away. "Darien, I wanted to tell you that I think I'm finally ready to give you my heart again" her voice full of fear and uncertainty. Darien smiled and held her closer. Somehow his lips found hers and they were kissing ever so sweetly, so gentle and loving. The night was spectacular and they enjoyed it to the fullest. Before they left Darien took Serena out to the balcony where they watched the sky. Serena rested her head on his shoulder, her arms snuggled on his chest. Dariens' arms rested around her waist holding her close. The stars twinkled like they knew the story of the two lovers, but the moon outshone the stars, casting a ray upon the happy couple. Suddenly Darien pulled away from Serena taking away her warmth. Confused she looked at him with worry. She saw him dig into his pockets then pull out a small velvety box. Slowly her eyes lifted from the small black box to Darien's deep blue eyes. He then opened the it to reveal a beautifully crafted silver ring. The ring was adorned with a crescent moon with a rose entwined within it. Two small diamonds were on each side of the moon and rose. Serena softly gasped and once again turned to look at Darien. "It's....it's beautiful Darien!" her voice was so soft he almost didn't hear her. "This is for you Serena, my one and only love." He then took the ring out of the box and placed it on her finger. "It's not an engagement ring. It symbolizes a promise to you that I will never betray you again, I will always stand by your side, loving you unconditionally for all eternity. Someday we'll get an engagement ring but until then I hope this will do." His voice was so full of emotion that it made her cry. Serena stared at the ring while tears poured down her flawless flushed face. It was perfect. She knew he meant every word he said and that only made her tears flow faster. Things were finally going in the right direction and her dreams were coming true. Suddenly a single tear landed on her hand. Surprised she looked up to see that Darien's eyes were slightly watery as another tear flowed down his cheek. She then brought her hand up to his face and brushed the tear away while rubbing his check. Darien began to lower his head as Serena stood on her toes. Their lips met in a sweet and passionate kiss which lingered. Soon after the kiss broke they just held one another, no words needed to be said. The moon shown brighter than before as Queen Serenity's face appeared for a brief second, her face smiling showing her approval. Finally Serena knew how strong his love was. They loved each other so strongly they knew they would be together for all eternity and with their love they could conquer anything. The End!!!! How was it??? Bad? Good?
