Just the thought of it made her want to fall over with fresh tears. But she had to be strong, for herself if she ever truly wanted to start over. "Thankyou Andy...and I’m sorry for breaking down like that," Serena quietly replied blushing. No one else other then her Darien had held her with such gentleness, calming her. Andy was such a sweet person, always kinds and caring. He was in a couple of her classes and they always talked like they were old friends. "Anytime Sere," He paused looking at her, "do you mind me calling you that?" He questioned. "No, it’s okay." Serena replied smiling slightly, "Again, I’m sorry but I’ll see you later okay." Waving a brief good-bye she left for class hoping to drown herself in work. School soon let out much to Serena’s relief. Quietly and slowly she walked home in a dull manner avoiding any collisions from people walking by. Her eyes were open, but unseeing as she passed a young man smiling directly at her. Andy saw Serena approaching and smiled brilliantly to her. Apparently she didn’t notice because she passed by him wordlessly with a glazed expression. Surprised he slowly let his smile fade and turned to watch her leave before calling out to her. "Hi Sere!" Blinking she turned around and saw Andy coming towards her. She smiled gratefully, at least he would help her get her mind off Darien. "Do you mind if I walk with you?" He asked sincerely. "No of course not. I could use the company anyway." Smiling he took her small briefcase from her hand and held it in his left hand. Blushing slightly she looked at him embarrassed, but glad he was there. "So what does Sere do when she’s not in school?" Andy curiously inquired. "Same as everyone else I guess." She replied giggling a little. Soon they started talking about things they had in common from school, hobbies, friends and other trivial things. Darien was heading for the arcade when he saw Serena walking in front of him. Smiling he was about to join her when another young man around her age walked up. He could see them smiling and hear them laughing so clearly it made him jealous. It took allot of self-control to hold back his anger and hurt from punching that poor boy. ‘I’m sure it’s just a friend, nothing more.’ Happy with that conclusion his temper simmered back to almost nothing as he approached them from behind. "Hi Serena!" He yelled smiling and waving. Sucking in a breath Serena silently prayed to herself, ‘Please mother, let me have strength.’ Andy noticed her tense suddenly and stop walking. She closed her eyes for a moment, breathing deeply before looking behind her. Confused he followed her gaze and saw a guy with jet black hair in a blue button up shirt, khakis and sunglasses coming towards them. Pasting on a cheery smile she waved back to him and waited until he caught up. ‘Selene, this is going to be hard.’ "Hi Darien, what’s up?" She asked in a forced bubbly voice that went un-noticed by both guys. "Oh nothing, just going to the arcade to say hi to Andrew. Who’s you friend?" He replied back warmly hoping he didn’t sound too curious. "Darien this is my friend Andy, Andy this is my friend Darien." She stated introducing them. Darien stuck out his hand and smiled greeting the young boy before him. ‘Just a friend huh?’ He thought a little bitterly. "Well he was just walking me home. It was nice seeing you again Darien." Andy nodded his head in agreement saying a brief good-bye and turned around joining her. Darien watched with jealousy burning deep. He knew it wasn’t going to be easy winning back her trust and love, but now that there was another guy in the picture, it was going to make it 10 times harder. Sighing he turned around and headed back to the arcade. "What was that about Sere?" Andy questioned. They had been walking in silence since they talked to Darien. "Nothing really. I’d rather not talk about it if you don’t mind." She whispered in a distant voice, her eyes focusing on an object in the far distance. "Well thankyou for walking me home. It was really sweet of you." Smiling warmly she walked into the house closing the door sadly behind her. Slowly she dragged herself into her room and leaned heavily on her door, forehead resting against the smooth wood, eyes closed. Loudly she let out a deep sigh dropping her briefcase to the floor next to her. Her knees began to feel weak beneath her and she slid down to the floor, eyes still tightly closed with her hands now resting on the carpet, supporting her. Luna watched her charge from the bed worriedly. They sparkled from crystalline tears already forming in her ruby eyes. She never realized how much Serena’s cheery personality and smiles affected her, until now. Before, she would just make fun of her and tease her, but now....instead of bouncing back the happy person she was she remained quiet, withdrawn. Each time Serena cried, Luna cried with her, almost feeling her pain. She missed her Serena. Sure she was responsible, smart, and better at being a scout and leader, but she had changed so much. If she didn’t watch her grow personally over the past year, she never would have recognized her. "Serena? What’s wrong?" Luna asked in a caring, motherly voice. "Don’t worry about it Luna, it’s nothing." Serena mumbled quietly pushing herself from the floor. Turning to look at Luna she smiled weakly and walked over to the bed. Scooping her into her delicate arms she lay down petting her. "Oh Luna, I’m so confused.....I’m so....in pain." Releasing Luna she rolled over onto her side finally crying all the tears she had been holding back. Sliding under one of her arms Luna joined her, crying. The remainder of the night was spent in silence. The only sounds coming from her room were anguished cries of realizing it was time to release herself from the bond she and Darien shared. Morning came too soon for the depressed blond. Sluggishly she dragged herself from the bed and put on her school uniform. Adjusting her skirt she felt something stiff in her pocket and quickly pulled whatever it was out. Confused she stared at the piece of paper until she remembered who gave it to her. Smiling slightly she carefully unfolded it and sat back down on the bed. Dear Serena, I’ve never written anything like this before, but I have to tell you. I know you broke up with someone you loved or love very much and I am really sorry. He had to be a fool to ever let you go. Your sweet, caring, beautiful, smart and the list goes on and on. I would love nothing more then to get to know you better, even if it is just as friends. Please know I would like to help you if ever you need someone to talk to or hang out with. Love, Andy Serena was smiling sadly now, looking at the sweet note in front of her. Tears started to build in her sapphire eyes and blur her vision, enabling her to reread the letter. Blinking they fell down her smooth face to land on the paper, smearing the ink. His note helped her realize that her life wasn’t ‘over’ even though she felt like it was. It was actually just the beginning. Whipping away the tears from her flushed face she proceeded downstairs for breakfast. "What’s wrong honey? You’ve hardly touched your food. What’s bothering you?" Ellen asked sitting down across from her, resting her arms on the table. "Oh nothing really. I’ve just been thinking." Serena replied in fake cheeriness. Smiling she stood from the table and grabbed her things. Bidding her mom good-bye she bolted out the door before she could question her more. Walking to school she listened as the birds chirped and happily took in the suns rays. For some reason it made her feel a little better now, and it showed. "Hi Sere!!" Andy called out from behind. Turning around she stopped walking and waited for him to catch up, smiling. They stood there for a moment letting him catch his breath before proceeding to walk to school.. "Beautiful day isn’t it?" Serena warmly commented lifting her face to the sky and closing her azure eyes. Andy quietly whispered a yes and turned to look at her. The suns light outlining her creamy porcelain face, making her seem ethereal. ‘Man she’s beautiful’ He suddenly had the urge to kiss her but restrained himself and just watched her. Serena opened her eyes and looked over to Andy noticing his stare. Smiling crookedly she blushed embarrassed. "What are you looking at?" She giggled lightly looking away. "Oh...at you" He replied back quite bluntly, "Your really beautiful you know." Bringing a hand up he placed it under her chin lifting her face so she was looking directly at him, "No need to be embarrassed" Letting go he smiled warmly and started to walk away leaving her dazed. Serena stood still for a moment feeling all warm inside as the butterflies circled in her stomach. Her thoughts were a mixed jumble of words and pictures, none making sense. Blinking she realized Andy had started walking again and quickly caught up with him before he got too far ahead. Andy tilted his head to look down at the girl beside him, smiling secretly. He really liked her and wanted to get to know her better. Even though she was beautiful outside, she was amazing inside and he loved it. You couldn’t find very many girls who were beautiful and not self centered. She was one in a million. Of course he knew she had many secret admires that would die to be with her, but in his opinion, they didn’t deserve her. Hell, he didn’t think he did, but he would damn well treat her like a princess. He wasn’t going to let her slip through his fingers like her ex. Silently they walked to school side by side just enjoying the others company. Soon their school came into view and they looked around for their friends. Saying a quick good-bye and I’ll talk to you in class they left for their separate directions and joined them. "Hey Sere! Was that Andy I saw you walking with?" Lita chirped happily as she approached them. "Yea, it was" She smiled brightly. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Darien had just got back from Serena’s school after dropping off a gift for her. He was hoping to get back on her good side. Smiling he strolled along the sidewalk anxiously waiting for her to receive them wondering what her reaction would be. Suddenly someone walking with sparkling gold hair caught his attention. Serena. Just the site of her made his heart beat fast, then again just her name did. It was then he took note of the person walking beside her. The same young man from the other day. He was walking close to Serena, much too close in his opinion. Rooted to his spot he watched Andy as Andy watched Serena, seemingly captivated. Clenching his fists tightly he closed his eyes and brought his head down slightly. After counting to ten he breathed out and looked up again. They were nearing a corner when they suddenly stopped walking. He could tell, even from here where he was standing she was blushing at something he said. Jealously boiled in each vain spreading fast through out his body. He then saw Andy reach out and tilt her face to him and whisper something, smiling the whole time. ‘If he kisses her!!’ Darien mentally screamed edging closer and closer towards them. Much to his relief he released her chin and continued walking around the corner leaving his site. Darien waited and watched Serena stand there for a moment staring off as if she were in a trance. Blinking she turned to see Andy casually walking away and ran to catch him. Darien watched with mournful eyes at her retreating figure. Her gold hair swaying lightly from side to side with each step. Tearing his midnight eyes away he let out a bitter sigh and chuckle before heading in the direction of his school. Since seeing them together, his whole world seemed to crumble before him, burying him six feet under. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Serena, Amy, Lita and Mina all filed into their class room about to take a seat when they saw Serena suddenly stiffen. Wondering what she was looking at they looked about the room and saw a large, fluffy white bear on the top of her desk with a red heart attached reading ‘I’m sorry’. Directly in front of it lay a long stem crimson colored rose, resting delicately on it’s side, a small note tucked neatly under the soft pedals. With shaky steps she approached her desk bringing a quivering hand out to grasp the rose. Brining it to her nose she inhaled it’s sweet sent before gently setting it down again beside the bear. Ideally she opened the tiny card, nervous to know what it said. Dear Serena, Could you please find it in your heart to give me one more chance? You have know idea how sorry I truly am. Forever ‘YOURS’ Darien Putting the card back into the envelope she shoved it into her purse trying to hid her tears. Picking up the bear she hugged it close to her smelling Darien’s soft cologne ‘gawd he smells good.’ Taking the rose she looked around the classroom until her eyes fell on a fellow student and friend. Rising from her seat she headed over to him, hiding the rose behind her back. Her friends watched as she pasted on a cheery smile and bubbly act, covering her true pained feelings. "Hey Melvin! How are you doing?" She asked her once geeky friend. Over the years he transformed into a tall, well built and handsome young man. He no longer had that nasal voice like before. Now it was deep, smooth and even sexy! He finally got rid of those annoyingly big glasses and got clear contacts revealing his beautiful baby blues. "Good Serena. What are you hiding behind your back?" Melvin suspiciously inquired trying to look behind her. "Oh nothing." she replied sweetly, "How are you and Molly doing? Good I’m assuming." She continued looking as innocent as possible. "Uh...yea. We’re doing great actually. You should know that Serena." Melvin commented warmly smiling at the thought of his girlfriend. "I do know. I was just checking," Melvin suddenly had a look of worry in his eyes but Serena quickly calmed him down, "No..no! Things are fine, chill. Anyway, I think you should give her this," Revealing the rose from her back she showed it to him and set it in his hand, "Just because you love her." She smiled at his grateful look and turned to her desk as the bell rang. The girls just listened and watched intently as the scene unfolded before them. Here Darien (well they assumed anyways) had given her a beautiful rose and bear and she willing gave the rose to someone else! She seemed to be happy to do so too? The closing of the classroom door caught their attention and brought them from their thoughts. Serena sat quietly in her chair seemingly listening to the lesson being taught. But she wasn’t, her thoughts were a million miles from it. ‘I thought giving the rose to Melvin would hurt me more than it did. But seeing his happy face made me feel better. Maybe I’m more over Darien than I thought.’ Smiling, if not a little sadly she let her eyes roam around the classroom and land on the back of some brown haired boy. It wasn’t Andy, but he reminded her of him. She loved spending time with him. He always made her smile and feel special inside. ‘maybe we can get together after school.’ ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Serena waited by the front door of school for Andy. She talked to him in 2nd period and they agreed to go to the arcade and maybe catch a movie. "Hey Sere!!" Three familiar voices chorused out from behind her. "Hi guys!" Serena cheerfully replied back smiling brightly They noticed her eyes now held more life then before and they missed seeing it. "What are you doing tonight Sere?" Mina chirped glad her friend was becoming her old self again. "Andy and I are going out. Well, were ‘hanging’ out anyway." "Wow. I’m really happy for you Sere! Tell us what you do later!" Lita drawled "Of course! I tell you guys everything, but I gotta go. I’ll catch you tomorrow and we’ll get together?" Amy, Lita and Mina all nodded their heads and watched as Serena and Andy walked away. "I’m glad she’s somewhat happy again. At least it’s a start right?" Amy quietly remarked watching her blond friend. "Yea" Mina and Lita sighed simotaniously. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Darien was sitting in the cafe in a far booth sadly sipping his coffee. He still couldn’t the image of Serena and that boy Andy together. Groaning he buried his face in his hands drowning himself in self pity. The opening of the arcade doors made him look up to see who entered. Standing there with their arms linked was no other than Serena and Andy themselves. She was wearing a pair of boot cut fitted jeans and a white fitted shirt lined with pink. She was beautiful, as usual. Andy was dressed pretty casually in jeans and a plain blue shirt, tucked in. They didn’t seem to notice him as they headed for the games. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Andy had walked Serena home and waited for her to change before they left for his house to do the same. He met her mother Ellen and thought she was a very nice woman. ‘Such a warm personality Serena must get that from her’ Andy thought amused. After they left from his house they walked to the arcade talking non-stop about everything. Andy really knew how to cheer her up and make her forget about her problems, mainly Darien. Walking into the arcade she dragged him over to her favorite game, Sailor V. Together they played teasing and flirting, have having a blast. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Darien watched with hateful eyes at their little touches and caresses. Her sweet laughter taunting him, driving him near crazy. ‘It should be ME with her. Not this BOY’ Stiffly he sat in his chair watching a but longer before stalking angrily out of the arcade. ‘Two can play this game.’ But unfortunately for him, it wasn’t a game. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The night was perfect! Serena and Andy got along so well together. Always having something to say and laughing at silly things. Walking out of the theater, arms linked with Andy’s she nearly fell over when she saw Darien with another girl. They were holding hands and looked to be engrossed in a conversation. "Sere? What’s wrong?" Andy asked concerned. "Huh?" Looking at him she faked a bubbly voice, "Nothing, why?" "Your lying Sere. I’ve been your friend for little over a year now and I can tell when your down." Looking down at her he wrapped his arms around her slim waist. Sighing she allowed herself to be pulled into his arms and buried her face in his chest, smelling his musky scent. It felt good to be held by him and she smiled at the though. Pulling her slightly away he gently gripped her shoulders and looked down to her thoughtfully. "You wanna talk about it?" He offered tenderly rubbing her check with the back of his hand. "No not right now." She whispered back blushing at the intimate touch. Smiling he pulled her into a brief hug then wrapped an arm around her waist while holding her other hand and walked away. Serena leaned into him indulging herself in his sweet warmth. Already Darien was forgotten buried in the back of her head, to be delt with another time. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* As soon as Darien reached his apartment he called a girl ‘Melissa’ to go out. They had briefly talked from time to time mainly in school or if they bumped into each other on the street. She was pretty with shoulder length black hair, light violet eyes and a tall slim figure. She was the only girl he knew that didn’t throw themselves at him. "Is Melissa there?" Darien asked nervously fidgeting with the phone cord. "Hi Melissa, this is Darien....good thanks. Listen, I was wondering if you wanted to catch a movie tonight? How’s 8:00 sound? Great, I’ll pick you up then......bye" Hanging up he exhaled loudly, relieved it went well. They were now waiting in line trying to decide what movie to see when he saw ‘her’ again. She was with Andy and he had an arm wrapped loosely around her waist. Quickly he looked away before his emotions got the best of him, but of course he couldn’t resist NOT looking either. Glancing over he saw Andy hugging her close, gently rubbing her back. He watched as he carefully held and treated her, as if she were a fragile doll that could break from his simple touch. Forcefully he looked away trying to close his heart from her, but he couldn’t, not when she was his heart. Looking at Melissa he saw her staring curiously at him then to Serena. Smiling weakly he squeezed her hand to reassure her he was all right. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* It was late evening and Serena and Andy were quietly walking through the dimly lit park, listening to the soothing sounds around them. The light from the crescent moon acting as a spot light, outlining the trail they were walking. Stopping in front of her house he walked her to the door and held both of her hands in his. Serena could feel her heart pounding in her chest. ‘Did he want a good-night kiss?!’ She thought panicking. She wasn’t ready yet! Much to her relief he kissed her check and smiled understandingly. Apparently he saw the turmoil in her eyes. "I’ll see you at school Monday. Good-night Sere." Waving a farewell he walked away smiling happily. Serena quietly opened the door to her room sealing it shut behind her. Smiling she skipped to her bed and roughly picked up the snoozing Luna who yelped in surprise. Twirling her around she giggled at her before falling backwards on the bed, Luna landing on her stomach. "Oh Luna! Andy is so sweet and....and handsome!" She dreamily stated before falling serious, "...and he’s what I need to get over Darien." Luna’s ears perked up at her last statement shocked, "Get over Darien?!" "Yea" Sighing she stood from the bed carefully setting Luna down then went to change. "I think it’s time to move on. And I can’t trust him again Luna. I’m afraid." Tears pooled down her once happy face, "I...I can’t be with him if I can’t...." Falling to the floor she curled herself into a tight ball gently rocking back and forth trying to control her shaking frame. "Oh, it’s okay Serena." Jumping from the bed she nuzzled against her leg purring comfortingly. "Yea...I’ll be okay Luna. It’s just going to take time." Whiping away the tears she stood from the floor and lay on her bed unthinking until she feel asleep. Next Day...Saturday Andy was walking along the streets looking into the window displays hoping he would find something he liked. Then again, he was hoping he would find something Serena would like. He wanted to buy her a gift to let her know that he would always be there for her, no matter what. Suddenly someone standing in front of him made him stop and look up. It was that guy Darien Serena introduced him to the other day. Smiling he said a nice hello and tried to continue on his way but Darien wouldn’t move. Annoyed he looked back to him expectantly. "Stay away from her!" Darien hissed staring at him, fire burning in his deep blue eyes. "Excuse me?" Andy asked confused. "You heard me. Don’t play dumb boy!" "Are you talking about Serena?" Realization finally dawning. "Who else would I be talking about!" Darien retorted smartly, "Stay away from her, she’s mine!" "No I will not ‘stay away’ from her. I care about her too much to listen to you!" Andy’s voice was beginning to rise, "You must be her ex then? You are such a fool to have ever let her go." He looked critically at the fuming man before him not really caring what he thought. Angered Darien grabbed the top of his shirt and shoved him against the wall, his hot breath beating down on his face. Time seemed to stand still. Both guys glaring daggers at each other, neither willing to back down. "And what would Serena say if she saw you now?" Andy quietly stated. Realizing he was right Darien reluctantly released him, but not before one last remark. "I’m telling you. She loves me and I love her. I’ll do whatever it takes to win her back. So why don’t you just run along and be a good boy." Sneering he turned on his heel and walked confidentially out of Andy’s sight. Serena was walking to Rayes temple to pay her a quick visit but stopped dead in her tracks as she watched an unbelievable thing happen in front of her eyes. Darien was talking to Andy and it didn’t appear to be nice either. Surprised she watched as he flung Andy to the wall, a threatening look on his face. Too deep in shock she couldn’t get her legs to run over to them, they just weren’t responding to her commands. Letting out a thankful sigh she saw Darien back away then turn to leave, leaving Andy standing there. Finally her legs started to move listening to her will quickly taking her to Andy. He had his back facing her as he stood proudly and angrily in the center of the sidewalk. "Andy! Are you okay? What was that about?" She breathlessly asked grasping his arm. "Hi Sere. It wasn’t anything important so don’t worry about it." He smiled reassuringly, "since your here how about we spend the day together?" Taking her hand within his they walked off, temporally forgetting about the scene that had just taken place. "....and I had a lot of fun today, but would you please tell me what happened with Darien?" Standing in the front of her house he smiled down at her, arms resting on her hips. "Really Sere. It wasn’t anything. I’m sure Darien was just having a really bad day and took it out on me, "squeezing her hand he made sure she was listening. "now please, quit worrying." Smiling shyly she nodded her head and nearly freaked when he started to lean towards her. Nervously and not yet ready she turned her head, landing the kiss on her cheek. Uncomfortable she backed away blushing slightly. "I’m sorry Andy, but I’m not ready to get into another relationship right now." She slowly stuttered looking up to him apologetic. "It’s no problem Sere. I’m sorry I did that. I should have known you weren’t ready..." He continuously babbled cursing himself for his foolishness. Looking thoughtful she walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder and the other under his chin, turning him to face her. "It’s okay Andy, really....I forgive you." Nodding his head dumbly and thankfully he smiled, truly relieved. He didn’t want to mess this up. "Night, I’ll see you later okay." giving him a brief hug she retreated into her house, skipped to her room looking out the window. He stood there for a second a smile growing on his peach lips before he turned and walked into the setting sun. His body was outlined with gold making him look like a ghost slowly fading in the distance. Sighing she sat back on her bed and stared blankly at the ceiling. She had such a wonderful day! Andy treated her to lunch and even agreed to go shopping at the mall with her. Together they looked at everything from music, video’s, toys to clothes and makeup. Whenever she was with him he made her forget about Darien. Well almost. sitting up from her bed she quickly jumped to her feet and left for the park. If she was lucky Darien might still be there. After all it was his ‘thinking spot’. Running along the streets she looked around, eagerly searching him out. She was right, sitting on ‘their’ bench he looked out to the glittering lake, chin resting in his balled hands. Slowly she approached him and seated herself quietly. He seemed to not notice her presence as he continued to stare forward. For a few minutes she sat enjoying the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Coughing lightly she turned to Darien with large sapphire eyes. Caught off guard Darien turned slightly and nearly jumped when he saw Serena beside him. She looked as beautiful as ever to him, then again she was always beautiful to him. On impulse he leaned forward and captured her lips with his, relishing in the feeling. Closing her eyes she deepened the kiss, letting her tongue move and play with his. Slowly she brought her arms around his neck pulling him closer never wanting the moment to end. Suddenly she remembered why she was there and pushed herself away, breathing heavily. Flush faced she shakily stood up turning away from him. "What’s wrong Serena?" Darien asked slowly standing. He missed her so much and wanted nothing more then to hold her in his arms forever. "What’s wrong? What’s wrong?! What was that stunt you pulled earlier with Andy?" She asked, her temper rising. Turning she looked up at him and saw the shock written on his handsome face. "What..did he tell you?" Darien carefully asked looking afraid. "He didn’t tell me ANYTHING! All he said was you were having a bad day and just took it out on him," Calming down she spoke in a quieter tone, "is it true?" Exhaling loudly he turned away from her slumping his shoulders. ‘He didn’t even tell her’ Shaking his head he sadly answer her, still looking away. "Yea...it’s true. To a point. I......I told him.... to," Turning to face her he prepared for the worst, "stay away from you." Closing his eyes tight he looked down balling his hands into a fist making them turn white. Serena was ready to scream her head off at him. But one look made her anger dissipate to nearly nothing. Sighing she sat down and propped her elbows on her knees burying her face in her hands. "Why Darien?" she mumbled near a whisper. Surprised at her quiet response he opened his eyes to see her sitting down, face covered by her hands. "Because I don’t want to lose you. I.....I love you Serena." He solemnly answered. Teary eyed she lifted her head and looked painfully at him. This was not what she needed to hear. Not when she decided it was time to finally move on. "I love you too Darien, but I can’t be with you anymore." "Why not? If you love me then why?" He cried falling to his knees and gathering her hands in his. "Because....I’m..I’m afraid." Oh, how much a simple phrase can shatter ones soul to pieces. Surpressed sobs started to fill his body as his eyes started to water. Letting go of her hands he lay his face in her lap letting her jeans catch his tears. Serena’s sapphire eyes looked sadly at Darien’s crying form. One by one her tears fell until she could no longer hold them back. Brushing a hand through his hair she memorized the feeling, the moment, the love and pain. For a few minutes he stayed there, clinging to her and crying but then finally stood and left. Not once did he look back or say a good-bye. Running to her house she fell to her bed collapsing in a fit of anguished tears. 1 month later Serena hadn’t seen Darien since that day and was slowly getting her life back together. Her and Andy started to date and she really liked him. Darien still came into her mind every now and then and it troubled her. She did miss him. "What are you thinking Sere?" Snapping from her trance she focused her eyes on Andy sitting across from her. They were having dinner at some quiet remote restaurant after watching a movie. "Oh nothing really. If you don’t mind, I’d like to go home early," Seeing his face fall she hastily continued, "Oh no! It’s not you. I’m just really tired that’s all." Reaching across the table she grasped his hand in hers and smiled warmly. Walking her to her front door they turned to look at each other. Hands clasped tightly together. Wrapping his arms around her he gathered her into a tight hug holding her close. Brining her frail arms around his broad shoulders she hugged him back, smiling loving the way he held her. Pulling away she could see he wanted a kiss but she quickly turned to leave, trying not to make it too obvious. Closing the door behind her she peaked out the windows and waited a few minutes before leaving out again. She had to see Darien. Quickly she walked to his apartment and lightly knocked on his door. No answer. Leaving down the hallway she exited his apartment complex and headed for the arcade. On her way there she saw a single solitude figure leaning on the railing of a bridge over looking the park. Darien. Squaring her shoulders she edged closer to him until she was standing behind him. Meekly she squeaked out his name. "Dar....Darien." The sound of her voice made his body stiffen visibly. Carefully he turned around swallowing the lump growing in his throat. Over the past month he had done nothing but yield to self pity. Moping around like some lost little puppy. When she said she couldn’t be with him because she was afraid, he wanted to die. A life without her by his side was no life at all...not one worth living anyway. Fully facing her he fought back the tears threatening to surface. Before that day in the park he never cried, not since he was a child and now look at him! Serena watched with hurtful eyes every movement he made. His black hair shining brightly in the setting sun and his eyes open and hurting. Showing her everything he was feeling. Without warning she ran into his arms and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, pulling him close. Automatically Darien wrapped his arms around her waist and looked at her confused. Bringing her lips dangerously close to his she looked him intently in the eyes, crying. "Until we meet again." She huskily whispered with a cracked voice. Sealing the gab between their lips she kissed him hard, long, passionately and lovingly pouring her soul into it. Darien surprised at first stood shocked but quickly returned it with equal favor, holding her incredibly close, almost crushing her. ‘Please crystal...let us both find happiness. Please make us forget’ She painfully wished as more tears escaped. What would life be like without him in it? Suddenly a bright light engulfed them both then suddenly disappeared. Where they were once standing leaves twirled by in the unseen wind. Serena had just left from her house after discovering a fluffy teddy bear with a ruby crystal rose entwined with a small crescent moon at the stem. Confused she gently picked them up wondering who they were from. Hugging the bell close she smelled the scent of an intoxicating cologne then gently set it down still grasping the rose. Looking at it closely she lightly traced the delicate outlines of the rose down to the moon then squinted her eyes when she saw tiny writing. ‘Til we meet again’ Darien woke up early to make him some coffee when he found a very fancy designed ruby rose with a crescent moon connected at the stem lying next to him on the pillow. Cautiously he picked it up and looked it over intensely. It seemed to be emitting some kind of soft scent as it invaded his senses. Looking to the small golden moon he found a phrase fancyly engraved near the bottom. ‘Til we meet again.’ Serena was sitting with her friends and their boyfriends in a booth looking happily at all them. Lita finally hooked up with Ken, Amy with Greg, Raye with Chad and Mina with some nice guy named Mark. ‘It’s about time too!’ Turning her head she gently kissed Andy on the lips and cuddled into his embrace smiling. The sound of the door opening made her look up. Gasping slightly she watched as a tall, handsome young man walked in laughing at something. Holding the door open she saw a young lady with black hair and beautiful violet eyes stroll in smiling lovingly at the handsome boy before quickly kissing him on the lips. THE END!!!!!
