Mike's Las Vegas Page

Welcome to Mike's Las Vegas Info Page. In this page I am going to share with you some of my opinions on some of the hotels, attractions, buffets, and shows that Las Vegas has to offer.

First, I would like to talk about some of the hotels in Las Vegas. Almost every hotel in Las Vegas has some sort of theme to it. They got everything from a hotel with a New York theme to a hotel with an Egyptian Pyramid theme. And inside each hotel they have different attractions for both adults and kids. For example at The New York, New York Hotel and Casino they have a roller coaster that goes around the hotel. In The Las Vegas Hilton Hotel and Casino they have a motion simulator ride with a Star Trek theme. And even two of the hotels in Las Vegas have their own theme parks. Those two hotels are The MGM Grand Hotel and Casino and The Circus-Circus Hotel and Casino. So as you can see hotels got a lot for people of all ages not to mention the huge video arcades that most hotels have. Now a lot of people ask questions about which hotels cater towards kids and which hotels cater to adults. Well for kids, the best hotels are The MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, The Excalibur Hotel and Casino, The Circus-Circus Hotel and Casino, and The New York, New York Hotel and Casino not to mention a few others. For hotels that cater mostly to adults you can check out Caesar's Palace, The Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino, Bally's Hotel and Casino, and The Mirage Hotel and Casino not to mention lots of others. Second, when a lot of people think about Las Vegas they mostly think about gambling and drinking. Well that's only a part of Las Vegas. In fact there are a lot of attraction either in or near the city of Las Vegas. For instance there are a lot of museums in Las Vegas including The Liberace Museum, The Guinesse Book of World Records Museum, and The Imperial-Palace Auto Collection Museum. In addition to museums, there are a lot of theme parks and water parks such as The MGM Grand Adventures, Grand Slam Canyon, and Wet n' Wild. Also some attractions outside of Las Vegas are The Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon. Both are about 35 minutes from Las Vegas but they are worth the trip.

Third, Las Vegas wouldn't be complete without the All-You-Can-Eat Buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Most hotels charge about $5 for breakfast, $7.50 for lunch, and about $10 for dinner. But prices vary from hotel to hotel. I would recommend the buffets at The Rio, The Luxor, and The Monte Carlo. The Rio has a fantastic assortment of food from around the world. They have food from Mexico, China, Japan, Italy, and of course America. It's overall my favorite out of all the buffets.

And last but not least Las Vegas wouldn't be Las Vegas without all of the glitz and glamour of all of the shows in Las Vegas. There are shows for adults as well as kids. Some of the shows for the adults include "Enter the Night" at The Stardust Hotel and Casino, "Crazy Girls" at The Riviera, "Splash" at The Riviera, and "Jubilee" at Bally's. Some of the shows that cater towards kids are "Lance Burton-Master Magician" at The Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino, "King Arthurs Feast" at The Excalibur Hotel and Casino, and "Siegfried and Roy" at The Mirage. In addition to these shows there are many, many other show in Las Vegas including "The Man of Many Voices" Danny Gans at The Rio, "EFX" at The MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, "Mystere" at The Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, "Spellbound" at Harrah's, "Forever Plaid" at The Flamingo Hilton Hotel and Casino, "American Superstars" at The Stratoshere Hotel and Casino not to mention the other 20 shows that Las Vegas has to offer.

Well I hope that helped you out a little bit. For further information please either contact myself or visit one of those other pages that I have listed on my Homepage.
