The FIRST competition is designed to give students the opportunity to work with engineers or college students on designing a mechanical device that is operated by radio control, and compete against other such devices.

The students at Fordson High School teamed up with Visteon engineers in 1998 to create a new machine capable of performing the task we were given. We, the students and engineers, will hopefully succeed in our mission. We would like to thank the engineers at Visteon for making this possible, it shows us who the real hero is.
