The Rite of the Heart of the Master
Being a Rite Proper to the Grade of
Initiate
Of the Order of the Hermetic Temple

First, the initiate should acquaint himself thoroughly with the work known as The Heart of the Master. It is from this essay that the ritual is drawn.
The temple is banished by the rites of the Pentagram and the Hexagram.
The temple is purified with water and earth.
The temple is consecrated with fire and air.
The Lesser Invoking Hexagram Ritual is now employed.
The Law is proclaimed:
"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law."
The Mantra is sung. Each word is vibrated fully:
AUMGN, AUMGN, AUMGN, AL, AL, AL, AMEN, AMEN, AMEN, SU, SU, SU, AGLA, AGLA, AGLA, IAO, IAO, IAO, HRILIU, HRILIU, HRILIU, ABRAHADABRA, ABRAHADABRA, ABRAHADABRA, MU, MU, MU.

There is a pause of perfect stillness; the request of the aspirant is made in silence to the Lord within the Heart. If no answer is forthcoming the ritual is ended, otherwise….
The Tree of Life is Invoked from the Ain Soph Aur to Malkuth by the Rite of the Flaming Sword, given elsewhere.
The ATUS of the ROTA are Invoked by the Rite of the Scroll of Thoth, given elsewhere.
The Solar Invoking Hexagram Ritual is now employed.
The Poem entitled Carmen is now recited.
The Holy Fire upon the Altar is now venerated.
The Holy Incense upon the Altar is now kindled and venerated.
The Sacrament of Bread upon the Altar is now consumed.
With the Holy Oil, touch the Eyes, the Ears, and the Lips. (Caution must be used here as the Holy Oil will burn the flesh.)
The Adoration of the Magi is now performed. A pinch of frankincense is placed within the brazier with each name uttered and also an equal-armed cross is made. Each name is of Equal Import and Each most be properly Intoned. The Magi are:

PYTHAGORAS
DIONYSUS
OSIRIS
APOLLON
PLOTINUS
JACOBUS BURGUNUDS MOLENSIS

TO MEGA THERION
Proclaim the Law:
"Love is the law, love under will."
And this is to be Proclaimed as well:
"The word of Sin is Restriction. Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law."
And this also:
"And blessing and worship to the Prophet of the lovely Star!"
"Thou, therefore—go on, go on in my strength, saith the Lord of the Aeon, and ye shall not turn back for any."
The temple is now banished again by the rites of the Pentagram and the Hexagram. Also, Liber Oz is now recited.
The Initiate may now retire from his work.
