Old St. Louis Churches

PLEASE NOTE! This list is over 100 years old. It is intended for reference only. The people mentioned cannot possibly still be alive, many churches have been moved, many addresses have changed, and there were no telephone numbers or zip codes.

I would also like to point out that it appears that in 1897-98 some black churches were listed under "Miscellaneous" instead of the denomination, so therefore a black baptist church might not be listed under Baptist although many were. I would suggest looking under the denomination and also miscellaneous. Also listed under "Miscellaneious" is the Salvation Army, Swedish Baptist, Church of Latter Day Saints, Church of God, and the Chinese Sunday School, to name a few.
