STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLES


The very concept of Liberty is freedom of choice
Freedom is not a privilege granted magnanimously 
by the rulers of our nation, although it has 
become apparent that they wish that were so. 

Freedom is a right, hard fought and won for the 
citizens of this country by the blood of the 
founders and forefathers of this then-fledgling 
republic, America's first citizens. 

Thomas Jefferson held the adage that, "The price 
of Freedom is eternal vigilance
." Yet, vigilance 
all too often ends in war. Such is the condition 
of the rights and liberties of 1990's Americans. 
The creation of the Bill of Rights was intended 
to guarantee American citizens each and every right 
provided in it's original form. Those rights and 
liberties were not granted to certain individuals, 
or specific persons, but to every citizen of this 
nation as a whole. 

Concurrently, those rights and liberties were 
intended literally, in order to securely and 
unquestionably provide each American citizen 
specific powers and authority concerning their own 
lives, personal affairs, privacy, security, and 
personal choices. 

This selfsame document contains safeguards and 
provisions specifically designed to protect against 
governmental interference in the private lives and 
personal affairs of our citizenry. However, citing 
"special needs," our American government from the 
Federal level down has virtually disregarded, 
blatantly ignored, or outright defied or denied 
these most essential elements of our National 
Constitution, rewriting "exceptions" into a 
definitive instrument to change its meaning, in 
order to circumvent some or all of its original 
intent, thus allowing governmental oppression of 
citizen's rights. 

(Just ONE of the eventualities it was intended to prevent)

These charges are most predominantly evident in 
the American Federal Government's "War on Drugs." 
This illegal, immoral, ill-conceived, and downright 
criminal declaration of war against the people of 
our sovereign nation must cease, it must be brought 
to an end. There is no precedent for it, it's very 
existence stands against every word uttered in the 
Declaration of Independence, it demeans, belittles, 
and humiliates Americans on both sides of it, it 
induces violence, creating battlefields in our 
neighborhoods and communities, and has substantiated 
no gain, only losses in the form of billions of 
taxpayer dollars, the erosion of the rights of our 
people, and the corruption of, and contempt for, the 
American Criminal Justice System. 

Ergo: not drugs, not their use nor their abuse are 
responsible for the current overcrowding of prisons, 
constitutional and civil rights violations, or the 
deterioration of respect for law and order in 1990's 
American society. The Prohibition of Substances, the 
Government's denial of the right to choose for one's 
self; the Federal Government's adamant refusal to 
allow our citizens to make decisions affecting and 
directly concerning their most intimate possession, 
the body incarnate, is at the very root of the deepest 
problems our country is facing. 

The Declaration of Independence clearly states... 
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all 
men are created equal, that they are endowed by their 
Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among 
these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness"
 

There is NO footnote in that line describing exceptions 
or conditional exclusions such as the personal use of 
a recreational intoxicant. There is NO disclaimer 
disallowing those who drink alcohol or smoke tobacco or 
hemp, NO renunciation of those who in any way, shape, or 
form, choose to recreationally alter their own 
consciousness. All of these would fall under Pursuit of 
Happiness. 

The government is not a citizen's parent, nor their 
conscience, and no part of our National Constitution, 
nor the Bill of Rights, nor any other Charter our nation 
was founded upon provide for such flagrant discontinuity 
of the right of personal choice, where that choice is NOT 
injurious to any other citizen. It is the height of 
arrogance for any pompous government official, or group 
of officials, to presume to know what is "good" for anyone, 
other than themselves. No vote has ever been taken to 
disallow the use of anything now considered a "controlled 
substance." 

As a citizen of these United States of America, in 
accordance with the Declaration of Independence, I am Free. 
Not free to do as I am TOLD, but Free to live life as I will
free to decide for myself what is best for me, free to choose, 
whether right or wrong, those things that affect MY mind, MY 
body, MY most personal self. 

I denounce the American Federal government as a Lie, an 
Impostor, and an Elitist Regime of hypocritical, would-be 
dictators, with delusions of Godhood

For America's sake, people!
