I'm building a new version of my website.
Its in Portuguese and the draft is available at:

It's still a draft without any design built into it,
I hope to have it completed soon.

Well, the net is really weird. As much as you surf you never know what you have been missing in other sites. And you usually miss a lot. Today I just discovered (going back to sites I've been before) a whole new scene in the web. Why, even though I've been to most of these sites, have I've never read Justin, or Geek Cereal?

How come I've never visited bossanova and met their friends and guests?

I'm a frequent reader of Michael " Obvious" Sippey, we've talked a few times by mail, I've wandered through his diagram, I've read the fool, I've even made fun of Carol Pogash because of her quote.

But I've never seen all these new people, I've never read what they've being doing. But now, I've met pretty Kia, I know who is Rebecca, and a bunch of other people that I would love to meet. It's worth checking it out.

Literary Kicks.

"Poets of the world seek fame with News of the Day Still computer geeks."

News of the Day is a place where
news are written
like Haikus.
It's really interesting.

The Grimm Tale
An awesome place to go
you really can't miss it
the perfect match between
text, sound and images.

I've been away for a while,
I'm back for now,
I hope I can keep up with the pace

My friend Marcus has been pretty active in the Web, he's got a Studio up and running, where the Web Poem project is at full speed and he is writting some chronicles about the web that you got to read. Unfortunatelly for many of you they are in Portuguese.

New ideas...

Beautifull!

Beautifull!
Beautifull!

Marcus made the perfect pairing
Between image and text
Colors and words
So pretty you even forget to read
The wise words he's got to share with us.
You can't miss it

Well, it's been a long time...
But time is being the problem latelly...

Dave Winer from Hotwired
Started a 24 hour protest against the
Telecommunications Decency Act
It's the 24 Hours for Democracy
And he's urging everybody to write an essay
About the Net and it's liberty.
I've written mine.

What urge will save us now that sex won't?

BOREDOM MAKES YOU DO CRAZY THINGS

I'll cut the smile off your face.
You think I don't know what's going on.
You think I'm afraid to react.
The joke's on you.
I'm biding my time,
looking for the spot.
You think no one can reach you,
no one can have you have.
I've been planning while you're playing.
I've been saving while you're spending.
The game is almost over so it's time you acknowledge me.
Do you want to fall not ever knowing who took you?

Last night I was at a friend's
home and while talking about
the Web he told me about a page
he visited.
A page of an urban artist
Jenny Holzer who writes some
truisms...
ALIENATION PRODUCES ECCENTRICS OR REVOLUTIONARIES

Laugh hard at the absurdly evil.

People who go crazy are too sensitive.
DREAMING WHILE AWAKE
IS A FRIGHTENING CONTRADICTION

"There's a panel of editors representing half a dozen different parties and interests. Each of them gets his allotted space for comment and criticism. The reader's in a position to compare their arguments and make up his own mind. I remember how shocked I was the first time I read one of your big-circulation newspapers. The bias of the headlines, the systematic one-sidedness of the reporting and the commentaries, the catchwords and slogans [...]"

Aldous Huxley
In his last novel The Island
Huxley describes his perfect
society.
The society of Pala follows
the teachings of the Old Raja.
The Net has some touch of these
teachings.

  1. So you are already tired of the Web right?
  2. You think you visited most of the interesting places?
  3. What if I gave you a starting point for a looong journey?
  4. A journey by the Cyber Underground...
  5. But beware! It's a journey with no return...

Ronda and Michael Hauben
are writing a book about the Net, it's Citizen's
and how it's being constructed.
It's worth taking a look...

I've written a tale,
It's about the future,
And what could happen
If men managed to predict it...

Take a look at it
But it's in Portuguese...

Strange things happen in the net...
Some guys just created an RSA Crypto System that fits in a .sig...
They want to make cryptography available to everyone...
One of them even tatooed the script in his forearm...
