The Victoria School Concert Band has come a long way since its
formation in 1965.Since 1973,the band has received numerous awards
of distinction as well as Silver and Gold Awards at the Singapore
Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging of School Bands.This is an
achivement the school can be proud of.
Almost every year,the band will hold a concert called the "Musical World."
This had been held since 1974 which was the first Musical World.These
public performances bear testimony to the high standard of performance of
the concert band.The band's participation in the 1995 Australian Music Festival
in Brisbane gave a dynamic performance that displayed a high level of
technical and fine musicianship.The band has done the school and Singapore
proud.
