Joseph F. Vaught

Fields Vaught, 81 of Fallston, died at Fallston General Hospital on Tuesday, June 28. Born in Sparta, NC, he was the son of the late Andrew L. and Ellen Stamper Vaught. He worked as a salesman for Baltimore Fertilizer Company for 25 years and Central Motors for 15 years, and was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Fallston.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Creswell Vaught; a son, Christopher J. Vaught of Fallston; three daughters, Mary Ellen Leach of Poquoson, Va., Barbara Lee Johnson of Mesa, Az., and E. Ann Bearsch of Abingdon; four sisters, Alaska Beeker of Cleveland, NC, Edith Hubble of Bel Air, Blanche Hill of Crestview, Fla., and Mildred Henderson of Tallahassee, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial was held in St. Mark Catholic Church, Fallston, Friday, July 1 at 10:00am with Rev. Thomas R. Bevan officiating. Interment was in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were David Leach, John Leach, Kenneth Bearsch, Kevin Bearsch, Kenneth Dunaway, Robert Vaught and Greg Lowe.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church, Building Fund, Reckord Road, Fallston, Md. 21047.

Arrangements were under the direction of Howard K. McComas III Funeral Home, P.A., Abingdon.
