Pear Chutney
Pear Chutney
Serve with roast turkey tenderloin or boneless, skinless chicken
breasts
which have been rubbed with Watkins Poultry Seasoning.
1-1/4 cups pear nectar or apple juice
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup cider vinegar
6 oz. dried pear halves, chopped (about 1 cup)
2/3 cup finely chopped red onion
1/4 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1/4 cup golden raisins
2 to 3 tablespoons sugar (as desired)
1-1/2 teaspoons Watkins Ginger
1/4 teaspoon Watkins Red Pepper Flakes (more, if desired)
1/8 teaspoon Watkins Cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high
heat. Reduce heat to low; simmer, uncovered, 15 to 20 minutes until pears
and cranberries are soft, stirring occasionally. Spoon into jars and keep
in refrigerator up to one month. Makes about 2 cups at 1/4 cup per serving.
