~ A LITTLE TALK WITH JESUS ~

A little talk with JESUS how it smooths the rugged road, how it cheers & helps me onward when I faint beneath my load. When my heartis crushed with sorrow and my eyes wth tears are dim,there is naught can yield me comfort like a little talk with HIM. Though my way is often dreary & my walk is weak & slow, A little talk with JESUS tells me all I need to know. And He answers me so gently in a soft & loving tone, "IAM WITH YOU ALWAYS YOU WILL NEVER BE ALONE." HE tells me that HE loves me & paid the ransom for my soul, now HE is my brother HIS love has made me whole. I cannot live without HIM HIS love is all I know, A little talk with JESUS gives me all I need to grow. Oh, I often feel impatient & I mournHIS long delay, for I never can be settled while He yet remains away. So I wait a little longer for HIS appointed time & I glory in the knowledge that sure hope is mine. In my FATHER'S perfect dwelling where the many mansions be, I will daily talk with JESUS & HE there will talk with me.

Run to God

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." -- (1 John 1:9) It's wonderful to know you've been set free from the law of sin and death. It's glorious to know you never again have to submit to the slavery of sin. But what do you do when, in spite of those wonderful, glorious truths, you still miss the mark? What do you do when you stumble and fall into sin? Run to your Father and repent! That sounds simple. But oddly enough we often do just the opposite. Instead of running to God, we let fear and guilt drive us further and further from Him. We start thinking things like, "Well, I've missed it now. I might as well forget the rest of it and live like the devil." Don't make that mistake. Don't let Satan talk you into sinning in one area of your life just because you missed it in another. When you get off track with God, just confess it and get right back on. "But, Brother Copeland, I feel so guilty when I tell God what I've done that it's hard for me to make myself do it." I know. I used to feel that way too. Then, one day, God said to me, "Kenneth, when you confessed that sin wasn't when I found out about it. I knew about it all the time! When you confessed it is when you got rid of it, when you were cleansed of its effects in your life." When you make a mistake, when you miss the mark, remember, you have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous (1 John 2:1). Run to Him! He knows what you are going through. You don't need to be afraid. He didn't tear you apart for the sins you committed before you made Him Lord of your life, did He? Then how much more merciful and loving do you think He'll be now that you're His own? Now that you're reaching out for Him and have a heart for Him? Don't run from God. Run to Him. Receive His forgiveness. Receive His cleansing. No matter how badly you've sinned, He's eager to forgive and to cleanse you of all unrighteousness.      -- Kenneth Copeland
Mark 5:22-23 (NLT) " A leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, came and fell down before Him, pleading with Him to heal his daughter. "She is about to die", he said in desperation. "Please come and place your hands on her; heal her so she can live."    Heavenly Father, thank You that I can come to You knowing You are my Father and I am Your child. "The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him" Your love for Your children far exceeds that of any earthly father or mother.    Children are a heritage from You. They are gifts You loan us for a season until they are old enough to care for themselves. Lord I lift up the children, of these that gave their lives so tragically in New York,Washington D.C,Pennsylvania, and every where a civil servant has been killed, before You and ask You to have mercy on them. Take the pain and doubt from them as they go on in their lives, without the parent or loved one they lost.    Just as You healed...just as You promised...just as Your Word stands forever...I ask in the name of Jesus that You would fulfill Your Word and accomplish through my prayer Your greater works."For with God nothing will be impossible". Heal these children, Father, that You may be glorified in the Son.    Utilize this circumstance as a benchmark in the spiritual life of these children. May this draw them closer to You, and may it serve as a testimony to Your love and faithfulness.    This I pray in Jesus' name, amen. LOVE,DAD,GRANDPA,HUSBAND,BROTHER,UNCLE,FRIEND

"He determines the course of world events"    Father, what awful things take place in our fallen world, where people and nations rebel against You and Your good purposes. On every hand I hear of abuse,terrorism,atrocities,massacres,oppressive regimes,corrupt political systems, and wars constatly raging throughout the world.    I lift these to You,Lord,for You are the King of the nations,exalted above all the peoples. I praise Your great and awesome name, for You nullify the counsel of the nations,You frustrate the plans of the peoples. The nations roar like the roaring of many waters, but in Your time You will rebuke them. You act, and who can reverse it? And You are able to give me wisdom as I pray for world events.    May the distressing situations around the world serve to deepen and refine all who love you and call on You. In special ways protect them. Bring deliverance in times of danger,turning aside the schemes of evil people. And use the traumatic events to turn thousands,even millions, to Christ, as You've been doing in many countries.    I plead with You that, again and again, leaders will make wise decisions and justice will rule. May negotiations between nations and warring factions result in fair treaties that will restore peace.    Most of all, hasten the day when the government of the whole world will be on Christ's shoulders, bringing peace that will never end.    In Jesus' name,amen.
