HHHHOOWLOOOOOOOOO there!!!!!!
Well as you can see we have a deep interest in wolves. I hope that this site will be enjoyable for you.... Thank you for dropping in....HOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWLLLLLL!!!!!
WE DEDICATE THIS PAGE TO THE WOLF AND ALL LIVING CREATURES THAT CAN NOT SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES:::

PUPS:
Mating season is from January to April. Pups are born about 63 days after breeding. The average litter is 6 pups. The mother stays close to the young for about 2 months. They start getting teeth in the third week. A wolf lives approximately 10 years. The mother eats some food then throws it up for the pups.....YUCK!.

PACKS:
There are 4 to 36 wolves in a pack. Two to six of them stay at the den. They have a territory that ranges from 130km to 13,000. They will defend it. There are two alpha wolves in each pack, the male leader and the female alpha. They eat anything from a moose to a mouse, depending what is available.

Hunting:
Wolves hunt in either packs or alone. They follow their prey, they hunt elk, deer, sick animals and weak animals. When a wolf howls at the moon they are calling other pack members to join in with a hunt. The moon helps with the hunt, to prey on night time animals. For the visibility is good from the moon light.

Communication:
You can tell when wolves are friendly when they roll over and show their bellies. When they want to play, they put their paws down and wag their tails. When they want to fight, they start growling. When they want to stop they put their ears back and lay down.

Wolf Controversies:
Are wolves good or bad? This is an ongoing argument. In some books people make them out to be bad guys, because they think wolves are mean looking. During the age of the bubonic plaque
people would throw the dead bodies over the stone walls, and the wolves would come out of the woods to eat them. People thought that the wolves had disease from eating people who were dead but had the disease. There has been no record of a healthy wolf eating or attacking a human.
Some of the books that people wrote making the wolf out to be the bad guy are "The Three Little Pigs", "Lambs For Dinner", and "Little Red Riding Hood". If you see a wolf, don't be afraid, because they're probably just as scared of you as you are of them.

Wolves hunt by their scent or following tracks, and also by chance encounters.
Wolves are very smart. They always test an animal before they attack.
Old animals are slower, calves and fawns are more vulnerable and some adults may be suffering from malnutrition or injury.
These are the animals that wolves will go after.
They very seldom will go after a healthy animal, for the wolf knows it takes more energy to bring the animal down.

The wolf is a true victim of man's insecurity,
Haunted by evil legends, tales and fables.
Hunted to the brink of their very extinction.
But the spirit of the wolf cannot be broken.
They have survived mans attempts to destroy them.
Now they struggle to maintain their rightful place in the wilderness.

Maybe if man learns to understand the values of the pack....
Like the lone wolf that cannot survive without the pack,
Man cannot survive alone without his fellow kind.

Continue to fight for your survival,Wolf Pack.
Raise your young,
bring them up in your footsteps,
Run Free--------Run Wild.
Maybe someday your howl to unite the pack will be heard everywhere!!!
