* TIGER FOOTBALL 2004 *

The 2004 White Plains Tigers (1-0) opened their season last Saturday with a big 52 - 0 victory at Saunders. Ike Nduka scored 3 times for the tigers with Mike Lane adding 2 more TD’s. Gary Morello & Mickey Morello also scored for the tigers. Kevin Avery threw for two TD’s and Pablo Siaba added 6 extra points. Conner Gilmartin-Donohue caught a 2-pt. conversion pass from Gary Morello. Mike Lane had 2 additional TD’s called back in the contest. The tiger defense was solid all day and the special teams units were exceptional. Look for the tigers to try and build on last week’s big win as they face the Wolves of Gorton (0-1) this Saturday. Gorton played a hard fought game in a 27 – 20 loss last week to the talented and speedy Mt. Vernon Knights. Good luck to our JV, Freshman, and Modified teams as they begin their seasons and best wishes to our Youth Teams, the WP Bernies and WP Wolverines. Many thanks to the volunteer coaches and organizers of our Youth Programs as they prepare the White Plains Tigers of the future!
