Hi! I am new to this list and am in desperate need of help!
I have been trying for quite a few years to locate the parents of my ggg grandfather, Lewis R. Shackelford with no luck and would appreciate any help!
Lewis was born in Ohio, 27 December 1826. He married Mary Geller on the 14th of September, 1848 in Fayette County, Ohio. He died on the 13th of March 1867 in Ohio and is buried in Sugar Creek Baptist Cemetary in Fayette County, OH.
Lewis and Mary's children are -
John H., born 1851, Ohio;
Silas N., born April of 1854 in Tipton County, Indiana;
Simon J., born January of 1857 in Indiana;
Milton Asbury, born 7 April 1860 in Sparpsville P.O., Tipton County, Indiana (my line);
Armilda, born 1862/3 in Indiana; and
Clara O., born 1866, in Oh.
After Lewis's death, Mary remarried to Philip Carr.
I would love to hear from anyone with any info on this line. Thanks in advance
