We really don't know much about the Shacklefords. They are in my husband's line. His 4th generation Grandfather James Appleby m. (from family lore) Lucinda Shackleford 20 Dec 1834 in Lincoln Co , Ky. I have not been able to prove that or find either of them there. We have proven that they were in Indiana for the 1840 census. I'm sorry that this is all I have to offer.
