Morgan Shackelford and his family moved from Culpeper County, Virginia to Missouri in the 1840s. Two of his sons were Cumberland (died 11 July 1914 in Shelby County, Missouri) and William Franklin (died 3 Oct. 1909 in St. Clair County, Missouri). There were two other sons, R. H. and Isaac, but I know virtually nothing about them. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone might have any additional information on this family that they could share with me.  Thanks

I'm seeking information on Rufus H. Shackelford. He was born in Culpeper County, Virginia in 1838. His parents were Morgan and Jane (Monroe) Shackelford. The family moved to Missouri around the year 1842. A Rufus H. Shackelford served in the Union Army, 3rd MO Inf, Co. A, and was buried in Fairmount Cemetery, Denver, CO., but I don't know if this is the same Rufus H. Shackelford that I am researching. In any event, this particular Rufus Shackelford apparently survived the Civil War, and at some point moved to  Colorado. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Steve Shackelford, Austin, TX

Hello, Wondering if anyone might have additional information on Winnifred Shackelford who was born in 1791 (probably in Culpeper County, VA). On April 5, 1811 she married Isaac Tobin in Culpeper Co. She died in Shelby, Co., Missouri in 1877. Many thanks.
