My name is Frances Ann Renfro Patton. My Mother was Frances Marie Shackelford b.Oct 29, 1920 d.Apr 5 1997. Her father was Clarence M. Shackelford b.Aug 9 1894 d.Jul 19, 1945.
I have only the following information on Clarence Millard Shackelford.
1) His death certificate indicates he was born in Tennessee
2) His father's name was David Shackelford
3) His obituary says he was from Greeneville Tennessee, however, I have yet to confirm that fact.
4) He came to Dallas Texas in 1918
4) He married my grandmother, Maud Amos, in October 1919 in Dallas
Texas where he lived the rest of his life.
5) He had at least one sister, maybe two. One of them was named "Marie"
6) Family lore has his mother's maiden name as Brinninstool. I have no information to confirm that. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
