An Oil company "Petrox"headed up by Fred Wilson is searching for new deposits of petrol that they think may be located on a strange island that is thought to have been Uninhabited.they are told by a stow-a-way Jack Prescot stories about the island being inhabitated by a hudge slouchey beast.before reaching the island they find a woman (Dwan) floating in a raft an only survivor from a boat mishap.
they then reach the island only to find there is indeed people on it which they incounter.
they also discover there is oil deposits on it but it is unable to be processed into oil it needs about 10.000 more years to cook! later the nativies capture Dwan to give her to there god "King Kong" and fred wilson decides if he cant bring back oil he's going to bring back the next biggest thing he can which is "Kong"
