SPRINGFIELD IS CLOSING DOWN!

On the 31st of December 1997 Springfield BBS will be officially shutting down after two years of service. I regret doing this, but I have school as well as other commitments to look after. Added to that was the growing popularity of the Internet which has been slowly killing off the BBS scene. There is only so much you can do with a BBS, and since most of the technology is so outdated, the main focus of people's modeming is now the Internet. It has been fun all these year, I've made a lot of friends, picked up a helluva lot of files ;) we've all had fun, but alas all things must come to an end.

Thanks to all Springfield users for supporting me as well as the BBS throughout its lifetime. Thank You!

Springfield BBS has many things to offer such as :

Online Games!

* The highest quality selection of online games such as a competitve LORD 2 and for traditional LORD players , Top Cops , Dog World and Realm of Kisom all improving on the LORD engine many times with enough improvements and modifications to make them great games in themselves. For those who like a more in depth strategic RPG , Primal Chaos and Assassins are for you.

* For those who aren't into the traditional RPG-ish games don't fret , we cater for all tastes with games such as Bordello (running a brothel was never this much fun) , Cyberboard which gives you the opportunity to run your own bbs , simulated of course and lastly Franchise Basketball is there for those who'd like to try their hand at managing their own team.

* Still too in depth for ya?? Perhaps you'd prefer games which can be played in 5 mins , well we have good old Hangman , Buzz ( frying your brain with drugs ) , Castle Rock Casino where users can go for broke and Tetris which can't exactly be played in 5 minutes but remains highly competitve among users.

* All games are highly user competitive as well as addictive , with main emphasis placed on user interaction.
