Every person viewing this webpage is seeing 'html coding' at work. Most people are aware that most webpages on the internet are composed with the use of html (Hyper Text Mark-up Language). Some people know how to create websites using html. A few people might want to 'experience' the action of html at work. This webpage will be devoted to letting those few people 'see' the html coding elements set-up and then 'see' the finished product of the html coding, below. To begin with, the author of this webpage does not claim to be an expert in the use of html. There are many good tutorials on the internet where html may be learned. The author has accumulated enough experience using html to create this webpage. All the various 'code elements' that will be used in this demo might not be 'according' to the strict law of 'proper usage', but it does accomplish the desired result. (This set of html coding is not intended to be a tutorial on proper html usage). All of the presentation above was created with html. These explanatory paragraphs were 'contained' in width by the use of a 'hidden' table. The 'indentation' at the start of each paragraph was accomplished with html. (You will recall that most webpage paragraphs start on the left margin, as a general rule) Immediately below, you will see the html elements set-up, which will result in the 'finished product' below that. The FIRST tag, of any 'html' page has to be: <html>. The 'code word', 'html', surrounded by the 'pointed brackets', tells the browser to present the page with everything 'between' the pointed brackets hidden from the viewer. The lines of coding elements below here will be allowed to expand to the 'normal' margins. The background color and sound for a webpage are usually set at the start of the page. The coding for those elements have been set at the start of this page and will not be repeated. |
