John Burn God or Clerk?
Case #3864001-45-666 The story so far, (please refer previous page). Today 13/5/1998 I went to a concilliation hearing with the afore mentioned "?" (we have still to decide on exactley what "?" he is) the meeting lasted a whole 20 minutes, the result was I WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!! I WON!!!! I WON!!!!! KISS MY FRECKLLY ASS Mr Burn! Anyway I digress, please excuse this little fit of elation! We are seated in a room, with myself, my solicitor (Bill, what a legend), the arbitrator and the afore mentioned dickwad. The meeting starts with the arbritrator outlining the reason why we are all gathered (DUH!!!), Mr Burn puts forward his case as for why the insurers are not accepting liability for my teeth. He passes Bill a wad of medical reports that their docs have done on me in the last 8 years (these as you know should be served PRIOR to a hearing) and states that his doctors agree that one of the medications that I have been taking WILL casue dental decay. He then went on to say that I had not been on it long enough for it to casue such damage. He failed to mention which drug he was talking about. So the exchanges continue between Bill and God or Clerk, not much progress was being made at this point. I thought the drug he was talking about was the MS-Contin (Slow Release Morphine), granted, I haven't been on that for more than 1 year. The God or Clerk sticks to his guns, "NO WAY, WE WON'T PAY!" Then he happens to pull out one of the doctors reports from his doc that was done late last year and stated, "Dr %#$@*&@% has said that you are taking Deptran (Dioxipeine Anti-Depressant/pain) and have only been taking that since April". Well this is when I laughed and hard! The Arbitrator said "John, have you read your OWN doctors reports or checked Glenn's record?" To which John replied, "DOUH!" "John your Dr has stated that Glenn has been on this drug since 1990, and in every report since says the same thing." "DOUH!!!!" Next thing we hear was John saying, "Well then there is only one thing to do and that is for us to PAY ALL dental bills and get his teeth fixed." 5 minutes later we all leave with the Arbritrator issueing an order for the insurers to accept liability for my teeth. Now I ask you, could not this whole thing have been avoided by John doing his job properly? All he had to do was look at my record and read HIS OWN doctors reports. Now since this thing has been happening, my RSD has spread like wildfire, all due to the many infections and abbcesses in my mouth. I have not been able to eat properly for fear of breaking more teeth and had not smiled in a hell of a long time (that was due to a filthy big black hole in one of my front teeth). Now this man that has denied me help just sits back in his comfy chair in his comfy office and fucks people! How can someone have so much power over the individual and play God? I did not go out on the 29/8/90 to get hurt, I went out to do my job! I had 1 unfortunate event happen to me that I'm going to pay for, for the rest of my life (I think I failed to mention on the previous page that RSD in advanced stages, can be terminal)! If this man had have just checked my record, then maybe I wouldn't have ended up in such a dire position. My doctor has been wanting me to have a Spinal Cord Stimulator implanted to at least offer some pain relief for my legs, has not been able to do that due to the risk of infection in the spinal column. So due to the incompetance of 1 person, instead of my teeth costing $4,000.00 to get fixed in will now cost, $4,000.00+, cost of my solicitor + doctors reports (5), John's time attending the hearing, my travelling, more medical expenses for other parts of me that now HAS RSD, fees to book the conference room, fees for the Arbitrator and many many more costs on top of that. So we have a Clerk trying to save money by denying me proper care, ending up costing a heap more money due to his ineptitude. He still has a job, he doesn't care, he doesn't care about me, he just plods along aimlessly. I'm stuck here in God awful pain suffering, some of which could have been allievated some 8 months ago if some checking had been done. Yes I'm pissed! I'm very pissed!!! The more I think about it the angrier I get! I'm fuming!!!! Now people I ask you, is this man a God or a Clerk? (This is not the finished story, most of it is just rambling. Just so pissed at the whole situation and had to write something I will rewrite it later)
