| Harvey taught obedience classes for the club.
We then took a few years off to raise the children but always
had several GSDs. We started back into the Conformation ring
about 24 yrs ago. As breeders, we breed for Temperament/health
#1, for all around great family companion dogs #2, and winning
show dogs #3. Naturally all of our breeding dogs are OFA H/E.
We have owner/breeder handled our own dogs to
their championships. Harvey has frequently handled dogs for
others as well.
So far, Spokane has had a total of only
5 GSD champions in its history ...two back in the late 60'early
70's and then our three .... we are proud to be the owners of
the three of the five and hope to add to that total in the
future.
We now have a new girl here at Silverwood.
Thanks to Karen Fisher and her Shadow Valley shepherds in
Michigan for allowing us to have the beautiful Shania to add new
bloodlines into Silverwood's breeding program ... ShadowValley's
Silverwood's Shania -- with her outstanding temperament,
and beautiful structure, we hope she will be our next champion. |
