The Military General Service Medal (1793 - 1814)

Medal to Captain Samuel Morris, 28th Regiment

Captain Morris received the medal with bars for Barrosa, Vittoria, Nivelle, Nive, Orthes and Toulouse. He was severely wounded in the battle of Vittoria (2nd April 1806). He died in Torquay on the 8th July 1863.

The Waterloo Medal (18th June 1815)

Medal to Corporal William Glowen, 28th Regiment

Glowen enlisted in 1804 and served at Busaco, Albuhera, Vittoria, Pyrenees and Nivelle. (awarded M.G.S. with 5 bars). He was severely wounded in the right arm at Albuhera. Fought at Quatre Bras (slightly wounded) 16th June 1815 and then at Waterloo two days later.
