Dvorak is the sixth host of the Aiz symbiont. Born into a Science, Medical oriented family on the Trill Homeworld, Dvorak, spent much of his early years experimenting, studying and researching Science. Early on, he developed an interest in Exogenetics, and became an expert on the subject.
Extending his training, Dvorak attended at the Trill Science University, followed by a year at the Vulcan Science Academy. Still thirsty for knowledge, Dvorak applied and was accepted to the Starfleet Academy in 2364.
During his sojourn at station Thulborn, Dvorak and his research partner, the Andorian Chari, made much headway in the correlation between the genetic material of several obscure Beta Quadrant races.
In 2372, Dvorak was transferred to the USS Koldyn, a research starship transversing the Beta Quadrant. In 2374, Dvorak was recalled to the Trill Homeworld, as his application for the Symbiont Program was approved. Two intense years of preparation was rewarded, when in 2375, Dvorak received the prized Aiz Symbiont.
In 2375, while returning to active Starfleet duties, Aiz and the attending Medical Officer, Commander Inez James; from the USS Highlander, were captured by the alien race Saesneg, and held prisoners on their homeworld. Both Officers were rescued, by the crew of the Highlander, and as fate would have it, Aiz next Starfleet posting, was as Chief Science Officer on board the USS Highlander NCC 11895
