| Born on Earth in 2341, son of Jason and Jennifer Crusher, both Starfleet officers. Jason Crusher was a nurse and Jennifer Crusher a security officer. Being a 'Starfleet Brat', spent much of youth roaming across the quadrant. Has an older brother and two younger sisters. In 2352 relocated to Delos IV and stayed with his aunt Dr Beverley Crusher during her residency while parents were assigned to the Cardasian front line. Assisted Beverley Crusher is taking care of her son, Wesley, who had recently lost his father. Adrian's sisters were sent to Earth and stayed with their mother's parents whilst his brother attended Bath Secondary College, England.
Following a major defeat by the Federation, Jason and Jennifer Crusher returned to Earth as Jennifer had serious injuries. She was discharged from Starfleet and Jason assigned to the diplomatic core, assisting the Federation Health Aid Agency in promoting sharing of medical knowledge among Federation members. In 2359 Adrian Crusher was granted admission to Starfleet Academy and commenced studies. Two years later his mother dies as a result of her injuries, in particular the exposure to deadly chemicals which gradually destroyed her immune system. At his request, Jason Crusher was assigned to the USS Gibson which was to be engaged in a five year deep space research mission. Concerned about his father's mental health, Adrian Crusher was granted leave of absence from the Academy to accompany his father on the mission. Whilst aboard the USS Gibson, Adrian Crusher befriends the chief engineer and begins to take more interest in ship operations. His father was taken hostage by a group of aggressive traders during a first contact situation. Adrian was part of the away team which rescued the crew, including the Captain. The respect earned by the Captain during this incident also led to a strong friendship between the two. The Captain was able to confide in Adrian on a range of issues as he was not a formal member of the crew. On returning to Federation space, the USS Gibson accidentally enters Romulan space, which had extended further than had been previously thought by Starfleet Intelligence. To avoid the ship being claimed by the Romulans, the Captain engaged a Romulan warbird near one of the outposts. During the battle, Jason Crusher is killed. Wesley Crusher was able to rendevous with Adrian at Starbase 83 after the incident. The USS Enterprise was based there pending repairs following their first encounter with the Borg. The details of the encounter reinforced Adrian's determination to complete his training and join Starfleet. The threat to the entire Federation from outside species (Romulans, Cardasians, Borg) enraged the young cadet. After completing his training, Adrian was assigned to the USS Wisconsin where he served on the bridge for five years, first at Conn and then as a security officier. In 2373 he was promoted to Lt Commander and, having demonstrated strong battle instincts and aptitude for military strategies, was assigned to Admiral Nechayev's staff. His contibution to the war effort with the Dominion provided the Federation with some of its more important victories. During this period, he also impressed many Starfleet personnel with his interpersonal skills and ability to size up any situation. At the request of Admiral Ross, Adrian Crusher was promoted to Commander and assigned to the USS Highlander. The rest is still to be written............... |
| Adrian is an intelligent individual with strong mental abilities. He is more of a thinker than an emotional person, often admiring the Vulcan logic over the human spirit. He has a strong sense of loyalty to the Federation, his ship and crew. Determination and a 'never say die' attitude prevail. Often able to find unique solutions to problems, he has been know to spend days without sleep whilst trying resolve issues.
Admiral Nechayev notes that his recent personal involvement with Commander Shelby has shown a more open side to Adrian's personality. Adrian tends to be very formal in his dealings with other members of his team. Working closely with peers and superiors at Starfleet Intelligence has enabled Adrian to find the confidence to be himself more easily with people. |
