| Started at the Academy at 16 years old. Studied Engineering and Command. High grades on tactical and computers. Served onboard the Saratoga from 2365 to 2366 at Engineering (at his own request, since the Captain wanted him at tactical). Transferred to the Melbourne near the ending of 2366 and served there until the battle of Wolf 359. Here he was assimilated by the Borg. He served the Borg in various positions as a Drone until 2370 when he was found by Klingons in a heavily damaged Scout Vessel. The Klingons, instead of firing, attempted to salvage as much as possible... Including 14 (!) Borg Drones ... Most were killed in attempts to salvage technology and freeing them from Borg influence. Mark was taken to a Federation Medical facility in the area and was returned to be partly human again. Started serving aboard the IKC Vorn as Tactical Officer in gratitude for the Klingons who rescued him. Decorated for several courageous and honourable battles and actions. In command of the IKC Vorn as well several times in absence of it's Captain and in conflict with first Officer... Reapplied to Starfleet after 1 year of Klingon service... Accepted onto DS9 as acting ensign at Engineering... Accepted onto the USS Venture in 2373. Served as tactical Officer, requested a transfer in 2375 to the USS Highlander due to fascination for prowess and strength of the Defiant Class. The transfer was approved by Admiral Ross, and Hayes was promoted to Deputy Chief Security / Tactical Officer. Captain's Supplemental - 53012.02 Lt. Hayes has become a valued member of this crew. He is always prepare to drive head long into the fray to the defence of his fellow crewmen and the Highlander itself. During his time on board, Mark has slowly developed his own identity and forged friendships and relationship that will continue to allow him to grow once again as a human being rather than the programing of his Borg technologies. Attacked by an unknown force, Lt. Mark Hayes was injuried beyond the facilities of the Highlander to repair him. As a result, he was placed in a statis chamber and returned to Starfleet Medical on Earth. The Highlander and crew, await the return of this fine officer. |
| Personality profile: Quiet and prefers to not talk. Is capable of telepathic communication and is sometimes highly empathic. Fascinated by the Borg and all kinds of technology. New information seems to make him more communicative. Is not angered easily, does not fear many things. Special notes: Still mostly Borg, most implants couldn't be removed and still function. Due to his own knowledge on Borg technology he disabled all means of communication with the Collective he didn't wish. Can still interface with computers in the Borg way do.. |
