| Found on a Federation outpost near the Romulan border as a baby with no trace of his parents. Left with no clue of who they might have been, the outpost's crew was unable to find them. Reasons for his being abandoned by mother and father were also unknown. In short, he was a mystery... Quickly after his being found Leo (that's what most call Leonard) was adopted by the McNeils who named him. Entered the Academy at 19 years old. Studied Science and Engineering. His performance in Science classes was exceptional, he excelled in many courses (including Cybernetics). This made him a little less sociable, getting along with others became a problem... Especially with the intense Romulan emotions he experienced... His love for Science made life easier on Leonard... To control his feelings a bit better he studied Vulcan meditation techniques. Graduating top in Science he was immediatly posted on the USS Sutherland as a Science Officer in 2373. After one year (in 2374) he was transferred to the USS Intrepid and promoted to Assistant Chief Science Officer. His performance throughout the next year as an Officer was examplary, but socially his life became a mess... Nearing 2375 he broke up with his girlfriend Caroline Kazinsky (a Lt. on the Intrepid in Engineering whom Leo had been with since he was posted on the Sutherland) ... He had earlier requested a transfer. He knew that it was time to move on... The rest is still to be written............... |
| Personality profile: Difficult to talk to at some times, but isn't unfriendly by nature... A professional in his work and also someone you can always count on. Special notes: Leo has had a hard time fitting in with other people and can therefor be very strange at sometimes in things he says or does. Usually he doesn't mean anything bad by this, but doesn't stop to think about what he says. This doesn't affect his way of working however; as stated before Leonard McNeil is a pro. |
