Hinda Shu was born to middle-class parents on the backwater world of Circe on June 15, 2350. She grew up in a competitive atmosphere, amid seven other children. And a company of others belonging to other families.
Early on she grew to admire the stars. As such, when a representative from StarFleet Academy landed on Circe in 2367, she gathered the information she needed to plead her case to her parents. To her surprise, they agreed to let her attend the Academy. In 2368, she entered the Academy, where she would major in Tactics, the thing of most interest to her. Learning the trade well, she graduated in the 75th percentile of her class. Graduating in 2372, she was assigned to the Niagara-class cruiser Tucson. She had many adventures on board this vessel. Including the rescue of some stranded StarFleeters in the Alfirk system. Then came the Dominion War. The Tucson was involved in numerous battles. It was the final battle of the war that ended with her destruction. Ensign Shu was one of only three survivors of that battle. After healing from the wounds suffered in that battle, she was assigned to the Defiant-class warship Highlander. Now she hopes to meet new friends and to make a name for herself. After all, that's what her parents would want. Shu after a short stint transferred off the Highlander. |

Personality profile: She is a kind person. A little driven, but that is residue from her parents wish for her to succeed. She wishes to make friends, but sometimes finds that hard. Especially with all the leaving that friends on starships must do.
