Aric Dilbeck was born on Nov 8th 2350 aboard a Merchant Ship. His parents were Traders, Aric spending most of his early life traveling aboard various merchant ships. At the age of 10 (2360), Aric and his mother relocated to Earth, so that Aric could start living a somewhat normal life. At the age of 18, Aric joined Starfleet Academy hoping one day to be a Helmsman, However, Aric did not score high enough to be accepted into the Starfleet Helmsman Corps. Still determined to make it eventually move up to Helmsman, Aric began studying in the area where he demonstrated the most aptitude, Security. 4 years later, Aric graduated the academy and recieved his first post aboard the U.S.S. Palles Athena as a security officer, The Palles' mission was a fairly uneventful one, charting spatial anomalies. Aric was promoted to Lt. JG, then the Dominion War broke out. The Palles was invovled in the push to take back DS9, however the Palles was disabled and captured by the Dominion. Aric was one of 30 crew members captured and spent the rest of the War in a Cardassian Labor Camp. He was the only one of the original crew who survived, the rest died from torture, malnutrition, or quite simply "Dissapeared". Aric was eventually released as part of the peace treaty between the Dominion and the Federation. He spent a year on Starbase 312 being debriefed and rehabilitated. 2376, Aric was posted to the USS Highlander, in Serenna Space, Sector 39 Personal Profile: Once an outgoing, optimistic man, long term Dominion Imprisonment has made Aric a loner. He is however, very even tempered. It is this and his condicending attitude that have earned him 4 repramands and a demotion to Ensign. His sense of humor revolves around making fun of others, this has gotten him into more than a few altercations with fellow Starbase personel. He is a very Intelligent person, excels at hand to hand combat, using skill and blinding speed to defeat his opponents. As mentioned, Aric's accuracy with hand weapons is unnerring. Despite all this Aric is a man with deep mental scars, who despreatly wants to be the man he was again. The rest is still to be written...............
