Service Decorations

These are a collection of possible awards and their accompanying ribbons. Throughout the Four Star Trek series' Starfleet Officers and Enlisted Staff alike, have been awarded medals, ribbons and commendations for duty and service to the United Federation of Planets. Although these awards have, as of yet, only been seen in the movies STAR TREK 11 - 1V, countless numbers have been presented.
Characters aboard the USS Highlander that have received Medals, Ribbons and Commendations will now find the corresponding Ribbon under their name and photo. Ribbons are worn with the dress uniform on the left breast, directly underneath the Starfleet Comm. Badge.

In order to receive a medal in the USS Highlander SIM, your Department Head will recommend you at the end of the Mission. The Ribbons are then awarded by the USS Highlander Executive Command Staff and added to your bio.

STARFLEET DECORATIONS

Federation Medallion
The Federation's highest honour. Awarded by the President of the United Federation of Planets to a member of Starfleet who has distinguished themselves conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of their own life above and beyond the call of duty while engaged in an action against an enemy of the Federation.

Starfleet Cross
Awarded to a character who has distinguished themselves by extraordinary heroism, yet not justifying the award of the Federation Medallion, while engaged in an action against an enemy of the United Federation of Planets. The act or acts of heroism must have been so notable and have involved risk of life so extraordinary as to set the individual apart from their comrades.

Merit of Valour Awarded to characters who have acted towards the goals and aims of the United Federation of Planets.

Bronze Cluster Awarded to a character who has distinguished themselves by heroic or meritorious achievement or service, not involving military or combat action with an enemy.

Purple Heart Awarded to characters who have been injured in battle.

Exploration Awarded to those characters who have participated in the true nature of Starfleet. Exploration of the Galaxy.

POW Service Awarded to characters who have been held captive as Prisoners of War.

Rhosyn-Cleddyf Awarded to characters who have provide services of compassion under extreme conditions

Elite Marksmanship Awarded to characters who have exceptional marksmanship with hand weapons

Unit Commendation Awarded to an entire Unit for their actions as a group. A unit can be anything from a single away team to an entire Starship.

Humanitarian Merit Awarded to characters who have directly participated in a humanitarian act or operation designated by Starfleet Command.

COMBAT DECORATIONS

Combat Merit Awarded to characters who have engaged in combat.

Cardassian Conflict Awarded to those characters who have participated in action offensively or defensively against the Cardassians during the Cardassian War.

Battle of Wolf 359 Awarded to those characters who survived the Battle of Wolf 359 against the Borg in 2367

Klingon Conflict Awarded to those characters who have participated in action offensively or defensively against the Klingons during the Klingon War.

Sector 001 Awarded to those characters who helped to repel the invading force of the Borg in 2373

Dominion Cluster Awarded to those characters who have participated in action offensively or defensively against the Dominion during the Dominion War.

SHIP COMMENDATIONS

Captain's Award Awarded to the "Simmer of the Mission" - as decided by the Captain of the USS Highlander

Service Commendation Awarded to a player who consistently assists the Game Master with the USS Highlander Site and offers suggestions in either Design or Storyline.

Combat Commendation Awarded to those players who consistently participate in the ships saga's and who respond quickly to posted logs.

Loyalty Commendation Awarded to any member who always offers a helpful hand fixing problems and, no matter how grim the situation may be, stays by their ship.

Bravery Commendation Awarded to those simmers who consistently write high quality logs and who always manage to post on time or more than one per week

Instructors Commendation Awarded to any member who personally recruits some one to the ship. for every two people you recruit, an additional star is added.

Service Bar Awarded to those characters who have remained on the USS Highlander, year after year. Each year a second strip is added.
