Devotion to the Divine Mercy

How to Pray the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy

  1. Begin at the Crucifix; Make the Sign of the Cross.
  2. Recite the Our Father (The Lord's Prayer).
  3. Recite the Hail Mary.
  4. Recite the Apostles' Creed.
  5. Move to the "Our Father" bead just below the medal.
On each "Our Father" bead, say:

Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity
of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ,
in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

  6. On each of the ten "Hail Mary" beads in the decade, say:

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.

  7. Repeat this process for each of the remaining decades.

  8. At the end, say three times:

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.

God commands those who love Him to pour out His love on the world through Works of Mercy.
