Oracle - "Bushmusic" is a dance project that incorporates ethnic traditional songs of various African tribal groups into a dance format that falls into the World Music Range. The project was initiated by EMI Music and combines the talent of DJ Static. P' s dance production with that of Clear Music owner and producer Robin Hogarth's World Music influences. The original material was gathered and recorded by Robin throughout Southern Africa and includes material and instruments never before recorded or used . Some of the material includes the now almost extinct "Qwíí" or Bushman tribe's, songs, chants and instruments. Although we say that it falls into the World Music range, it can be best discribed as "Bushmusic", as it incorporates different styles and types of music combining local with western, tribal and ethnic music into dance and pop. Have a listen to a lament of how the "Qwíí" where chased out of there land and how they suffered and live far away from whence they came from. This song is sung by a little "Bushman" boy and is called "Bush Boy".
